Resident Evil 1 - 1995 Prototype vs. Final Version | Side by Side

Insanely loud sound from walking on the floor in that house. Sounds like they wear stepping shoes.

Also, this footage takes me back to discovering this amazing game for the first time..
Think i'm gonna do a playthrough of the remake with some of the nice hi res HD mods.

This thread really didn't get any replies. But I feel the need to post this here, as it was one of the first times that I have ever heard of Resident Evil mentioned anywhere. This is from the September/ October 1995 issue of Die Hard Game Fan. I don''t think that they had a, exclusive scoop on the game. But really early beta media.

I remember looking at such pictures in magazines and trying to figure out how the hell does it play. How can it work with all those different camera angles?

I had the same questions about Mario 64. Random pictures showing the game from different angles and i couldn't imagine how a game like that could play without being incredibly confusing.

I vividly remember that screenshot with the giant snake from magazines, and being very puzzled that you fight it in a very different setting in the final game.
