god lord what the hell is wrong with some of you?? These homo pictures are creeping me out!

But anyway that gameplay video looks alright! the most impressive thing was the high number of insects on screen towards the end but the explosions look n64 quality... then again the the video is low res. Anyone know this was recorded?
 
It controls REALLY well....at the beginning when he starts to turn....there's no JUMP to this position, it moves all smooth-like.
Maybe ps3 will be better for fps's :)

Do you know what happens when barrel full of gasoline or some other accelerante burns up? Theres no residual smoke or anything. Such a small barrell the contents burn up quickly, like you saw in the video.

Think of a scenario were you dump alot of gassoline on a BBQ and you get that initial BOOM. The resulting flames and smoke is because something burning up do to the initial flames.

I think your to hung up on getting Razzle Dazzle eye candy at the expense of reality.
 
Nice video, despite the low quality of the feed. The animation is really shaping up.

The game is starting to look quite solid at this point.

OMG, this thread had me laughing so hard I literally had an asthma attack, which hasn't happened in like 6 years. Thread of the year right here.

I was talking about the rocket launcher explosion in the lab. The smoke should disperse around the room but here it just disappears in a millisecond!

Definetly TotM... :lol man... i haven't laughed that hard in a while over something I saw on a forum... guess they touched textures a bit eh? This would sell millions in Japan now!

but, back on topic...

that gameplay video?! OMG... the weapons... they look so awesome in action... and subtle things like shaking the controller to shake off a baddie? Come on... that's sooo t!ts... something so small, yet seems so cool!

This is officially my most wanted PS3 launch game... and perhaps, most wanted game this year...

Ah ok, i'm not sure how a Rocket Launcher would do in that scenario. I think the initial boom and flames looks good (looks to be some distortion going on with the boom). I liked it :D

The initial boom doesn't look good at all, it just disappears too quickly. The lighting isn't dynamic either :\ what the hell is insomniac doing?

Looks like the E3 build, the difference is you're watching someone that knows what they're doing while playing so they're able to show off certain aspects of the games better.

The video looks awesome...specially the downstairs section...Nice animation and physics (althought that could be scripted)

COD 3 has great explosions and is pretty vibrant, but the character models, the textures, the lack of any interactivity, and the lighting all seem to be in Resistance's favor, but we'll have to see once they actually launch. Both look to be pretty good.

Perhaps if you are speaking entirely of graphics' bright (and vibrant) colors. I think most people are impressed by the weapons, the physics and interaction with the environment.

I think Resistance looks really nice, although it's clearly taking a few cues from Halo. That melee attack and the swarm of little crawler guys were deja vu.

While I don't know anything about the AI I know they are working hard on the immersion with things like the "hero moments", and the fact that the Chimera actually physically attack and try to eat you and you have to shake them off

Edit: And every one of those things I mentioned the first time have to do with immersion and atmosphere.

Yes, because Halo invented melee attacks and hordes of enemies.

Oh wait - it didn't. :lol

This looks like a more series take on some of the stuff Insomniac has done in Ratchet & Clank.
