Retard packs ftw !!!

Everyone wanted premium, those that couldn't get one settled for retard.

I'm starting to doubt this whole 80% premium / 20% retard pack number that Peter Moore threw out. I got my Premium at Target today and they had 24 Premium and 24 Core Systems. I tried a hicksville Wal-Mart late last night and they had 8 retard packs and 2 premium systems.

Everyone that got a retard pack also purchased a hard drive, and most of them got a wireless controller. $440 > $400. Nice strategy Microsoft. Pretty much every retail store i went to today had almost complete sell-through of all games and accessories.

I went to Walmart, and was forced to buy a tard.

Said fuck it, put it on e-bay ... and the sale is now pending.

I had to go tard this morning and it seems everyone is sold out of hard drives. Finally ordered one off Dell.com. I think M$ underestimated the demand for HDs in this first shipment - lot of people who wanted them went with the tard pack this time out of sheer necessity.

No one wants the core pack.

Peter Moore is wrong about his 80/20 comment too. Looking at shipments it looks closer to 60/40 at best.

Twice I missed out on the premium and twice I was offered the tard pack. Twice I turned it down...such a waste of money. I regret a little having not bought them to ebay them, buy whatever.

The second I knew I was getting the retard package I knew it was going on eBay. I had told all the guys in line with me that was the only option for that version.

My word. I couldn't swallow buying that fucking hard drive for 100 bucks all by itself.

The BB ratio (garnered from that list that was illegally posted the other day) was 70/30 or 75/25. SO maybe that is where Moore got his numbers from.

----

Here's the BB breakdown:

Total Units: 31,004 9,886 40,886
Percentage: 75.8% 24.2% 100%

--------

40,000 units seems really low for your main distributor.

If Best Buy only got 40,000 total units for the company, then this launch was maybe 300,000 units total. There's no way they shipped much more than that. I suspect we're going to see a bunch more on shelves in the next couple weeks. Either that or they've got big problems with manufacturing right now.

The Target I went to had 16 Premium, 16 Tard.

The Wal-Mart had like 2 Premium, 12 Tard.

I think they are obviously tailoring the ratio depending on the type of retailer that they are selling to. Target gets more well-to-do customers so they get a lot of Premiums, Wal-Mart gets fat cheap people so they get a lot of Tards.

We'll probably never know whether the 80/20 figure is true. If Wal-Mart really is like 40% of the current game market then I kinda doubt that it was truly 80/20.

The people who are buying 'tard packs on Ebay are what blows me away.. how can you be willing to spend $900 on a game system, but not $1200???

Yeah, today i would have settled for a tard pack and a HD but couldnt find any. ill just wait a week or 2 until BB or walmart get more in

I'll be buying the premium pack when it gets down under, but anyone else reckon the white dvd tray on the tard pack makes the 360 look better?

Not necessarily. I know of two local Walmarts which get 32 premium 16 core and 24 premium 22 core while target got 4 premium 14 core and 6 premium 20 core. Target seems to be the store with the most core systems for some reason. Probably want to sell more add ons.

There should have been zero core this year. But I've harped on this issue enough.

The real tards are folks that buy core packs and ebay 'em. You're just profitering from other folks who really would appreciate the machine.

Your scum in my opinion.
