What a good way to find a PVM locally? I tried to get one on ebay last year, but cancelled after finding out it was a poor quality one.
Also I got my Gameboy Player working now with Gameboy Interface. It's S-Video, but it looks great on my CRT. Thankfully the NTSC Gamecube I bought locally at Disc Replay has the digital port still.
It's tated the wrong way though. Unless you're the Spiderman, then it doesn't really matter.
Seriously, too bad most shmups from that generation didn't provide a full set of display settings (rotate clockwise, counter-clockwise, etc...).
Please explain why turning it fixed the issue.
It was just to correct the color issue,it works fine in any orientation now.
Something about the earths magnetic field. I read somewhere on the shmups forum a while back about someone fixing theirs this way.
Haha I remember reading that when I got into the PVM game because mine had some issues (although it was more rotating the direction the screen was facing than turning it on its side)....then I realized I had it on top of a subwoofer. I felt like an idiot, moved it and it was fine lol.Something about the earths magnetic field. I read somewhere on the shmups forum a while back about someone fixing theirs this way.
So I've been checking out MLIG and know that Euro SCART is different from JP21. My question is will SCART cables work with NTSC consoles with RGB?
Lol500 points? Bro, you suck at that game.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but both JP21 and Euro SCART cables should work on any console that outputs RGB. The more important part of the equation is what you're plugging the cable into.
For example, the Framemeister comes with a JP21 adapter, however Euro SCART switches are much more prevalent.
Personally, I'm using Euro SCART cables on all my North American systems, and they work fine (Plugged into my Framemeister with a specific Euro SCART adapter)
Fixed it by turning the discolored part towards the ground, looks great now! I guess I know which I'll keep tated.
The GCVideo is an internal HDMI mod from BadAss Consoles that's been "coming soon" for a very long time. The GCVideoX (he was going to use the name Plug n Play but got beat) is an external HDMI dongle that plugs into the Digital port from BadAss Consoles that has no time frame on when it'll be available. The GC VIDEO Plug n Play is another external HDMI dongle from Zeldaxpro that may be available already but I haven't really paid much attention to it.So what is the GC Video? I see mentions of it coming soon, but still confused on what it does. Is it a internal mod or something that uses the AV or Digital ports on the Gamecube? I managed to get a Gamecube with both ports so I can at least use both options.
Or you can actually listen to him and make a more informed decision.I can't see myself ever using a product from a company that calls themselves "Badass Consoles." I just get a mental image of some off-season juggalo clad in JNCO jeans going ham on my Gamecube with a soldering iron.
Does anyone have an RGB modded snes jr? Have some questions.

And that's a valid reason to avoid him. I don't think I'd ever do a preorder with him.I would not give any money to BadassConsoles until he actually produces something. Dude is a worse communicator than Valve.

Thanks I sent you a PM
Hey now, share the knowledge with us
My snes jr had an RGB mod done and it's wonderful apart from colours been wayyyy too blown out and saturated. Especially reds but blues also look way too full on. Compared to my 1chip Super Nintendo. Was wondering if anyone had experienced this.

(sorry, didn't get the PM)
No I don't have this problem. Mine is modded to output RGB and S-Video, so I can compare between the two. Colors look a bit more accurate to me in RGB, but really there's not a huge difference in color, and I've never suspected that there was anything wrong with either output. If it's to the point that you're noticing a problem, there's definitely something wrong. Can you post pictures? Let me know if you want pictures from my system for reference, glad to share.
I have an A/V Famicom NES toploader, both with NESRGB, if anyone is interested in buying a premodded console.
Quoting you for a new page in case you didn't get the PM and didn't see my other post.

I just got the OSSC in and I'm having a problem. Every couple minutes during fast play the screen will sort of split and roll upwards. You can see it in the middle of the screen below,it comes from the bottom and rolls all the way up. Any ideas or settings I need to do to fix it?
Your screen is tearing. What console do you have PAL or NTSC? And is your cartridge the same region as your console?
Yeah, tearing would be the best way to describe it. Everything is NTSC. I'm pretty sure its a sync issue of some sort, just wondering if there's a setting I can adjust or something.
It's very hard to take pics showing what I see on my tv but I can definitely show pics showing the difference between the 1chip and the snes jr
Here's a quick dirty pic of mine for reference:
Obviously impossible to make a scientific comparison with cameras and different TVs, but yeah, there's definitely a problem with your. Are you able to just adjust the brightness or color balance on the TV to get a decent result?
Which one do you want, The Famicom or Top Loader?
If the problem's exclusively the SNES, it could be your TV having issues with the console's 60.08 refresh rateI just got the OSSC in and I'm having a problem. I think I may have fixed it. I set my TV to PC instead of Console w/Game mode. Whatever game mode is doing on my KS8000 the OSSC doesnt like. But I just played through a couple levels and it didn't happen again.
It's screen tearing due to a vsync issue. Are you using HDMI to hdmi? Are you connecting to your OSSC via scart?

How do I open up SCART cables from retrogamingcables, I want to see if the Genesis 2 cable I got from them back in March doesn't have that "cync boost" thing?
Their listing currently has it as "Sega Mega Drive 2 / Genesis 2 & 3 CDX 32X dbGrafx Booster TTP RGB AV SCART Cable" but there was no mention of the dbGrafx Booster back when I ordered it in March

I'm leaning Famicom
