Return of the Xpod Rumors - Xenon removable HD

"Xbox 360", "Xbox Next" and "NeXtBox" are the worst names I've ever heard. For their own sake I have they come up with something better.

I'd rather they just stick it out with Xenon. And Nintendo should keep Revolution, as well. For some reason, I think that the current crop of code names are good enough to be the final names of the products.

I could really get into this! Any device that shows up as a Mass Storage Device in Windows can be used as a storage device for Xbox 2

Man, I've been thinking about this and while I recognize it was a good idea before, the brilliance of it is really starting to dawn on me. In fact it just makes so much sense that ALL the console manufacturers would be ridiculous to NOT include such functionality. Why do I give all my good ideas away so freely :(

man, xPod sounds awesome. Imagine being able to play d/l games off an XBox2 game on it, along with movies, music on a big harddrive. And hopefully it'll be USB, so that you can upload stuff from your PC to play on it and hook it up to the Xbox2 to play in your home theater system. That'd be hot.

I also hope Sony make some connectivity between the PSP and PS3 (more than GC-GBA connectivity). For example, d/l demo's from PS3 games onto mem sticks, checking out media files on a TV with the PSP hooked up, and even being able to play PSP titles on a TV through the PS3 (using a PS3 controller to play the game). They can start by letting the PS3 have mem stick support...

The removable HD thing has been out for a while -- you should pay more attention to my posts. :)

The "Xpod" functionality seems like pure speculation -- though it is a neat idea.

Hope I can still put a 120 in this baby when I mod it....

This "Xpod" idea is the best. I can buy it IF I WANT, my console costing me less money if choose not to buy it. Best for everybody.
Just watch for another thing that would be revolutionnary enough: the little thingy playing games and serving as the Microsoft's handheld at the same time!!!

I really hope there is some truth behind the Xpod idea.... IMO it would rule having a removable HDD, which i could put movies on and play them in my Xbox 2, and hten remove the HDD and have it as a portable MP3 player or whatever... :D But its unlikely that it will happen IMO... or if it does it will be fucken expensive :(

maybe they could have different xpods.. like some that only play music (2-color screen).. and ones that are full portable media centers...
