What do you think the chances are that we'll see Nintendo open the download service not just to games developers, but to other media providers?
I think Nintendo's been smart here and we're going to see a lot more of this than they've been letting on. They've got the infrastructure there, all they need is the content providers. The system comes with 512MB of storage, which although it isn't a huge amount, will be easily expandable by SD cards (which really are dirt cheap now) and possibly by USB mass storage devices. Not to mention that the Revolution will be a part of your home network. Also, with the Revolution contoller, they have a much friendlier interface to these services than the traditional gamepad.
