Revolution-BC-player for DS - would you get one?

Ok, so I don't know how the BC works for Revolution, but let's assume the SD card is for storing downloaded games (in whatever format Nintendo chooses, be it rom, or proprietry use for Rev) from NES - SNES.

If there were some method via hardware, maybe a transmitter to send to your DS, or an adaptor for DS that accepts SD cards, and allows emulation to play your downloaded NES/SNES (and maybe even N64, though in all likelihood, they'd probably just port these as entire games) on your DS, would you get one?

I'm just humouring my dream to some day play Super Metroid again, but in portable format.

Still, I guess such a device would render most of the GBA library obsolete, and kill profits from Nintendo, so probably will never happen.

*sigh*

Nintendo's already done stuff like this -- Animal Crossing let you play several NES titles on your television or on your GBA. I can't imagine why they wouldn't try something similar with the DS and the Revolution.

My thoughts exactly. I'm surprised the DS didn't use the idea, either.

The infrastructure wasn't in place when the DS launched. With Revolution is released, it will be able to talk to the NDS wirelessly and the next GB probably will be able to communicate wireless with the other platforms as well.

In fact, the next Game Boy might be a Revo-lite with the same concept of virtual console allowing people to download an entire backlog of older games.
