This right here is a smart witted person who officially listens to very good music.Phoenix said:In my house the revolution will not be televised.
Cruel Bastard Mario said:That the Revolution would be a kind of hybrid gaming console/nintendo gaming network (hardrive and all) that allowed you to download Nintendo games past, present and future.
I thought he was off his rocker, but we'll just have to see. Maybe he was on to something. He said he heard it from several sources 'in the know', anyway...

However, Nintendo has no problem porting and repackaging 20 year old games and selling them for $20-30 a pop. Combine the two and you have a Nintendo online gaming service, at least partially funded by downloadable classics for $5-10 a piece. I know I'd pay $10 a game to have those games any time I wanted. Imagine, a library of NES, SNES, Gameboy and N64 classics at your fingertips.

God's Hand said:Revolution is the most intriguing next-gen console. Xenon and PS3 are evolutionary designs that offer nothing new or exciting. I hope nobody forgets that Nintendo was the company that was first to include analog control with a console. Then everyone else followed. What Nintendo is doing for Revolution will give them a much needed boost in market share, and garner deserved respect for being originators and innovators.
You'll see.

Whether the revolution makes it or not, props to Nintendo.
mrklaw said:Doesn't mean Dual Shock 3 won't be revolutionary. Just that Sony aren't talking about it at the moment.
The big difference is that Nintendo are pimping the hell out of the 'promise' of Revolution, which is a *very* dangerous game to play. Us fanboys can imagine wacky stuff that Nintendo would never be planning, so they run a very real risk of showing it, and the entire internet going 'meh'.
Right now, they should be playing the Sony PSP game. Sit tight while everyone beats on your 20 second battery, then calmly release to hyperbole.

PlayStation Tree said:Winning the internet fanboy war doesn't mean anything in the end. They can get bashed like crazy pre-launch and still have an awesome consol (see xbox)
And besides, I don't see most of this attention on Revolution coming from Nintendo themselves, this forum is going crazy over every little PR soundbite.
