Why would any company bother prioritizing a practically dead console at retail with a diminishing customer base, over a console that's got massive growth and an actual future ahead for itself?
LoL
I never said that an Xbox version would be prioritized over a SW2 version. I was simply pointing out the reality and how, for whatever reason, Xbox is increasingly receiving better and greater support from studios and publishers, and in all similar cases (games with some PS5 exclusivity at some point) an Xbox version has ended up being confirmed... even before a SW2 version (or even just an XS version).
In other words, denying the high probability of an XS port of SB being announced is the only illogical thing here, whether you like it or not.
So, XS may be whatever you want it to be, but it has a loyal user base of over 30 million, and clearly 99% of publishers and studios of all types and origins release their games on that platform for a reason.
Projection isn't going to help one bit to get this game on an Xbox like you seem to hope. But if it goes there before Switch 2...fine, whatever. We know what the sales split is going to look like anyway, as do Shift Up.
Okay, so you're admitting that an XS version is very possible? You didn't need to question anyone then
The studios know their projections and business interests very well... When 99% decide to release their games on XS (some even exclusively on consoles on day one), it's for a reason, and Shift Up is no different.
It's funny because not only is the PS5 getting more expensive as the generation progresses, but it's also having fewer and fewer exclusives. Deathloop, Ghostwire Tokyo, Silent Hill 2 Remake, Kena, Final Fantasy XVI and Rebirth, Helldivers 2 and now Stellar Blade
And in all those cases and much more, they said there would never be an XS version because it wouldn't be interesting for the studios to do it on a platform that's falling apart ....

Now you even have niche Japanese games that denied an XS version a year ago, only to release the game on day one without any prior notice on It. This is the situation today at least
