Good on 'em. Anything that stirs up a bit of controversy and brings attention to the rights of homosexuals gets my support. It's about time people started treating each other like 'people', not sub-humans. By any means necessary.

We're so fucked up as a race that we cannot even look past the most trivial of issues, such as sexuality, which does not even exist outside out politics. Pathetic.

The sole purpose is to piss off the Christians, Muslims, and Jews in Jerusalem. If you think it's about "raising awareness," whatever. You don't see straight people having parades featuring strippers and couples making out!

I think the organizers just doing it to be offensive, and the Israeli government would be justified in shutting it down.

Straight people don't come from the same persecuted background that homosexual people do. Different "cultural" parades show off the distinctiveness of those cultures... I guess one of the ways the gay community is distinctive in society is its sexuality.

Persecuted? Gays aren't persecuted unless you go to some hardcore religous country like Saudi Arabia or something. We got sitcoms with gay characters here. Everyone knows what homosexuality is and yes we all realize that makes you unique, but I certainly don't need to see a parade to figure out what homosexuality is or what the 'culture' is. Once again, this is just going to piss people of more than anything else.

IMO, it's not about teaching people what homosexuality is, it's just something unique to the group identity.
