Seems kind of cool. I'd love for a fight scene with the evil girl and the little boy to sneak its way into the film. No witchcraft, no tape burning, just a long brutal kid fight. That'd be bad ass to end the movie.

That was only used in photos in the first one *If I recall*..I have a feeling thats only for the trailer,but what the fuck do I know :p

Yeah, they used it in photos for The Ring, but that's a screen shot from the trailer. He starts backing up and gets this goofy photoshop mouth. I paused it and took a screen. If that's in the actual movie...oh god.

Edit: I also like how they outlined the plot for you. I wish I hadn't watched that garbage.

Hollywood disagrees. Between the new DeNiro/Dakota Fanning horror movie and Dark Water (Jennifer Connelly + some childhood story), horror movies featuring kids or based off childhood games, typically accompanied by a beautiful, talented actress wasting her talents, are all the rage.

That kid was pretty disturbing looking in the Texas Chainsaw Massarce remake..I think it was his teeth that got me.

That trailer was boring and uninteresting. The teaser was MUCH better. I'll still watch the thing, but I'm not as excited as I used to be.

Well, I was a huge fan of the first film so naturally I can't wait for this one! I enjoyed the trailer, glad they're continuing some of the themes from the first film, although I'd expect that with the same guy doing the script. I hope Daveigh Chase is back for the prequel though, I guess they didn't really need her for this one since all we're going to see is "dead Samara".

I really liked the first ring but after watching the trailer i also think its gonna suck. I mean really really suck as in Matrix and Epsiodes I, II, III sequels on that same level/magnitude of suckiness

Yup, Naomi Watts pretty much compels me to see her in just about every flick she's in ever since Mulholland Drive.

When I read the replies I thought the trailer was gonna be horrible. You guys suck. It looks scary and I really like it. I hope it's as good as the first one which I loved.

IAWTP.

I seriously don't see the reason for complaint about this movie. And the "we don't need a sequel" argument makes absolutely no sense. If every single sequel to every single movie was based on the criterion of "absolute necessity to complete a half-told story," then 99% of the movies out there would be nonexistant.

Makes no fucking sense.

This movie, so far, has indicated that it will be as cryptic, psychologically disturbing, and as talked about as its predecessor.

Fuck the haters illogical though processes (even though you KNOW that they'll see it despite what they think :)).

Yeah, it looks kind of lame to me...I might go take a girl to go see it, but that's it. Scary movies are watched best with a date.

I agree with most of the sentiment here. I REALLY liked the first one (more so than the JP original), but this looks boring. I'll still see it, but I'm not that excited for it.

The trailer looks great.

I've read the script and believe me, this one is WAY scarier than the first. It has one of the most awesomely horrible 'needle' scenes you'll ever see (if they filmed it as it is written).
