Yeah, that's how I always saw it. Of course, rationally you would kill yourself and it wouldn't make a difference. But, rational people don't kill people, so it's hard to understand these kind of senseless actions.
 
I'm not going to judge anything on this case until something concrete is released by the police.

Whatever the reason, this is really sad, its never any good to see someone go so young and in such a scary way.
 
Horrible news. McNair was one of my favorite QBs, hell one of my favorite players period. Truly a class act.

Just saw it when I came home, that really sucks. Absolutely hated the guy when he was a Titan and Raven, considering he was a rival for half of his career, but he always seemed like a stand up guy.

RIP.

Oh my god this is horrible! Just got home from a party and saw the news flicking through the channels. I remember all the hype when he was drafted ("Millionaire McNair") and he lived up to it. That Titans-Rams SuperBowl was a fantastic game and he came so close to winning it all. I also remember his last great playoff run with the Titans, going into Baltimore and knocking off the Ravens. Then pushing the Patriots to the limit in the snow in Foxboro, limping up to the line of scrimage in obvious pain but still driving his team in the closing seconds.

What an awful way to lose him, especially since so many of the NFL's players today should be trying to follow his example of professionalism and character. RIP.

Wife wasn't with him. He was at an apartment complex seemingly with another woman.

Hopefully this wasn't the case of a jealousy killing or a set-up.

R.I.P Great QB, the first Big Hyped up African American QB since Warren Moon, and from little one can assertain from watching the media, a pretty good guy.

Steve McNair is my second favorite football player after Barry Sanders, the guy was the main reason the titans were a force to be reckoned with during its best years. He was also my main player in ESPN NFL 2K5.
