I have not hear any of his new album, but I guess he is touring now, and tonight he is on Letterman. I like Zeppelin as much as the next guy (probably a whole lot more), and his voice is incredible (worse now as he is old + drugs), so I am looking forward to this.

I've never really seen this guy old. I don't know how much I want to, to tell the truth.

Q107 in Toronto played much of the new album over the weekend...I thought it really sounded good. The current single "Shine It All Around" is good stuff. CD's also gotten rave reviews in the UK, with some saying it's his best work since Physical Graffiti. I can't claim to be a Zepp fan though (only heard their stuff the last couple years, I'm amazed at how powerful their sound was), so I guess longtime Zepp heads would be better judges.

How is this album supposed to be?

The new CD is a great return to form for Robert Plant. His voice is well suited for the songs on the CD and it's got that subtle middle-eastern flavour to alot of the music. Alot of mellow / bluesy songs and a few where he still rocks out. I especially like "Tin Pan Valley" -- slow buildup, slow buildup slow buildup then BAAM!!! Guitars! Yells! Whooooo!!!

Seriously though I appreciate the entire CD with the exception of "Freedom Fries" which is a bit strange / kinda missing a groove for me right now although it sounded better with headphones on as opposed to listening on my stereo.

The CD is really good but the best stuff since Physical Graffiti? Please. Let's stay in the real world now. I'd say it's definately his best work since Manic Nirvana but I also liked his last effort with Page (Walking into Clarksdale).

Hell I'm a huge Zep / Plant / Page fan so maybe I'm not the best judge to review this CD.
