Until you need to get money to buy some epic item that gives you a 25% boost to all star-power gained, and that item costs 1,000,000 gold, or it's really rare it has a 0.1% chance of dropping when you gold star a song.TheGreatDave said:Yeah, we should have an epic career mode that consists of you replaying the same 30 songs half a dozen time while you move through arenas that are barely distinguishable from one another instead.
Totally too short. Like you said, all of the intro videos they've done so far have been fucking awesome. This one was looking cool (from a visual/music video perspective), but just cuts short way too early.Ridley327 said:I wish it was twice as long; it has some really cool visual bits in it, but then it just stops.

GH grind-a-thon confirmed!
Not really, the engine is so loose and the sound effects are confusing. It's playable but it's not good. I don't really enjoy it much.TheGreatDave said:I played tons of GH drums yesterday. Nothing wrong with it. They could do with improving the visual aspect of it but the timing is fine.
I spent all my lunch money on a computer, sorry. :-(Ridley327 said:All these people perfectly content with crappy grinds, and yet only Baker and myself play Monster Hunter.
I hate all of you.

BTW, when did Activision lose the No Doubt suit? I must have missed that.

That's kinda what I figured people were talking about, and no, that is not Activision losing anything. That isn't their defense, that's just a freebie attempt to short-circuit the lawsuit practically all contract disputes go through.TheGreatDave said:
What I mean by sound effects is it's too low sometimes it's confusing whether I missed a note or gained star power.TheGreatDave said:I don't know what you mean by the sound effects are confusing.
I'm sure the engine is looser than RB, but I really don't find it to be overwhelmingly loose or anything I really notice. Unlike guitar where I can say there's an obvious difference (mainly in GH your ability to hit another note between a HO section without breaking combo as long as you're on the right note in time)
You have four different avatars on one page. Can you change the speed at which they change, or anything?Jet Grind Radio! said:Sustained open notes, I can dig. Quest mode? ¿Que? Especially since the whole article was mentioning "going back to basics."

Is there a thread for all this GH6 news or do you need to be in a special club?

A couple million and less than a million respectively.bounchfx said:LOL
edit: out of curiosity, how much did GH4 and GH5 sell?
:lolTheGreatDave said:Just wait, a GH3 sequel will probably sell 9 million copies in 2 years.
TheGreatDave said:GH4 easily sold more than 2 million worldwide at least. And GH5 has almost certainly outsold Beatles worldwide, if not in the US. GH, ffffuu yeah
bounchfx said:so where do you get 9 million from? you think it's going to be that much better? or even good? just curious, since I don't think we've seen anything about it yet, outside of that article you just linked.
TheGreatDave said:I'm playing. I'll be impressed if it sells OVER 9,000!!

You mean they haven't already?TheGreatDave said:If anything they'll just stop trying and turn it in to a lazy product like Singstar.
