I wish it was twice as long; it has some really cool visual bits in it, but then it just stops.

The company they've used for all of their intros is really awesome and makes me hopeful that RB3's intro is going to be just as epic as we've come to expect.

Until you need to get money to buy some epic item that gives you a 25% boost to all star-power gained, and that item costs 1,000,000 gold, or it's really rare it has a 0.1% chance of dropping when you gold star a song.

GH grind-a-thon confirmed!

Totally too short. Like you said, all of the intro videos they've done so far have been fucking awesome. This one was looking cool (from a visual/music video perspective), but just cuts short way too early.

Not really, the engine is so loose and the sound effects are confusing. It's playable but it's not good. I don't really enjoy it much.

I spent all my lunch money on a computer, sorry. :-(

Also, I am unzipping Dirt 2 from Direct2Drive and it is 40 gigs. wat

I don't know what you mean by the sound effects are confusing.

I'm sure the engine is looser than RB, but I really don't find it to be overwhelmingly loose or anything I really notice. Unlike guitar where I can say there's an obvious difference (mainly in GH your ability to hit another note between a HO section without breaking combo as long as you're on the right note in time)

I think it works just fine on the Dolphin emu, although it loses a lot of the nice lighting effects as a result. There's hope for you yet!

What I mean by sound effects is it's too low sometimes it's confusing whether I missed a note or gained star power.

I'm sure because you don't play drums as much you don't notice the difference, but it gets really frustrating at times.

Also another thing that I really hate is activating Star Power, it's really hard keeping a combo after trying to activate it.

also: Finished Scott Pilgrim and it's nearly as good as you say it is. I really think it's a product of your age in that you have to be a certain mindset to enjoy it.

so where do you get 9 million from? you think it's going to be that much better? or even good? just curious, since I don't think we've seen anything about it yet, outside of that article you just linked.

I'm actually kinda hoping it can make a comeback. That's just better for everyone (but our wallets). but I really didn't enjoy GH4 or 5, though 5 had sweet party play mode and some cool stuff.

more competition = better for consumers

oh, and PLEASE GOD NO MORE PERIPHERALS
 
I doubt either game will do all that well, but both will do well enough that we don't need to worry about the future.

GH7 is probably in development now anyway.
 
Slightly OT since its on topic, but Led Zeppelin has been played the fuck out for me for a few years now, I popped in 2 last night and the fuck if it wouldn't be epic as hell. Come on MTV throw some money at those rich bastards and give us a few songs. I doubt DLC alone would shift any sales, but it would make a great RB3 banner artist.
