Man the explorer is hands down the WORST plastic GH instrument I hate the fuck out of. Such a downgrade from the SG2.

The buttons are the only reason I play RB guitars they feel so much better imo.
 
I actually kinda like the buttons on the Strat, but they make a nosie when you click them which is always slightly off from the music, so it feels like I've got two rhythms going in my head and yes this is my fault.

Plus I've demonstrated before how the way I hold a guitar doesn't suit the Strat.
 
Just gotta love Gamestop; I just got the AC/DC track pack for $Free.99. (Yeah, I know it's shit, but it's free.) I really hope they don't wise up and start "gutting" the manuals and inserts for Green Day and Pearl Jam. Would be nice to get those for close to free, as well.

I concur, it feels so nice, the added neck length is fucking great too.

Blu you can get the bundle for near the price of the other guitars now. Ebay everything else, but keep the mic stand its surpisingly high quality and useful. It adds a whole other dimension when you play vox-tar.
 
So as part of the general RBN promo efforts, someone came up with the idea of doing a megamix akin to the Who Smashup from January using all RBN songs. The guy in charge of it (Scratching the Itch) just put together the first version, with these songs:

Isn't it like $70 standalone though? For the extra $30 I get to play a horrible game for a couple of days!

on a better note, just paid off Red Dead at GS in anticipation for midnight release. SOOO want it right now.

The bundle was going for 120 for the last couple months through amazon and walmart. The special edition bundle that is, not the value(ha value)

Probably at launch.. I've always gotten my GH guitars/games on clearance after they've been out a while, as my guitars still work. The only one that's ever truly gimped out on me (besides the RB1 Strat) is the Les Paul. I went through a couple of those. Now I'm on two GHWT guitars and they're both going strong.
 
We're still having which guitar is better arguments? How about we just quote Caddyshack instead? I'll start.

In my defense I took the AC/DC code from a used game. I was shocked as shit when it worked. As for the others....cough...acquired, is the term I would use....cough. Blockbuster is a great place to acquire codes as well.

Two questions about Tragic Kingdom (the song) on drums, does anyone know the gold star cutoff? I have 237,375 right now on a pretty decent run but that leads me into the second question does anyone else feel like the hit the BRE and it doesn't register? I've played the song a ton of times and I've never hit the BRE even once. It's only a red not and a green + bass note and it feels like it doesn't accept my bass hit. I'm pretty sure I'd have gold if I could hit it.

Anyway, the band contract from Highlord finally came in. Still need to square things away with the label, but after nearly 3 months it's almost ready for public testing.
