GH3 was the first to be real multiplatform. Case closed.

and the first on the Wii. If you ever look at those "time spent on Wii" graphs that come out every so often, GH3, to this day, still gets a ton of constant play.

GH3 didn't have all masters, just a huge majority. 19 of those songs where covers.

*is reminded of the God-awful cover of Story of My Life*

Make it stop, MAKE IT STOP!

People who play GH3 also have no taste in games. Case closed.

If Harmonix hadn't fucked up so much with the original, and sequel, I think RB could have stood a chance against GH on the Wii, as well as Europe and Australia.
Not offering a guitar bundle was one of their biggest fuck ups too.

It was my understanding that 80's sold less than half of what 2 sold. But I suppose that could have been a chartz number.

People hating on GH3's covers :(

You cannot defend La Grange's cover and be of sound mind.

If you only played guitar already (from GH) and had no interest in drums, then you just had to buy the game. If you were new to the rhythm game party, why would you only want a guitar? So your friend can sit and watch while you shred?

Considering the Band Bundle only had one guitar, and the PS3 version couldn't use the Les Pauls for months, I think it would be a good idea to sell an extra guitar at that point.

Okay.. You got me there. I kinda wish the band bundle just came with 2 guitars. I understand only including one to keep the price down, but only providing enough peripherals for three people in a four person game is kinda lame (especially at the offset).

Also wasn't the Les Paul incompatibility a cock-block from Activision? Although HMX should've done a test on that, perhaps.

To clarify: We didn't get Les Paul support until close to a year later, and the first time a guitar only came out was about 6 months later.

Maybe you wanted to play the songs in RB1 but not spend $200 upfront? Guitar has always been the most appealing instrument, there's no reason to assume the only people playing RB1 were people who wanted to play 4 player.

You underestimate the power of drums.

Also.. :lol at poor people.

Well, as far as I know the Les Paul was released just a few weeks before RB1. HMX tried to make it as compatible as possible, but when they tried to release a patch they were cockblocked by Activision.

That's it. I couldn't remember the exact time-frame.

It's not a case of being poor. If you were a Harmonix fan who loved GH on PS2, and then bought a new console, your only option was to buy a different game or spend $200. Most people don't play drums.

IF you were a HMX fan who bought a 360, you'd already have a guitar from GH2 360.

Case in point, me.

I will never agree with you, Dave. So I'm just going to let this one fade out. Doesn't mean you win, just means I don't wanna go in circles all day.

TheGreatDave said:
Not if you already bought it on PS Double.
If you were a real HMX fan, then you'd have it on both because the 360 version contained new songs and achievements.

I remember getting that game before its street date and playing Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo and thinking it was the best thing ever. I still need that song as RB DLC.

Do you have any idea how badly I want to kill you?
Is that a threat? :lol

Again, case in point me. I bought GH2 PS2 played it for two weeks before I traded in my PS2 towards my PS3.

Do I really need to take a picture of all of the guitar bundle boxes I have in my closet?

Same here, to a degree. I didn't really get into GH until 2 on the 360. I bought GH2 on PS2, but didn't play it for that long.

With this and the thing about calling the cops a few days ago, it sounds like Dave's got some unchecked English aggression.

Same. I remember how awesome it was back when I was just getting into GH2 for the first time...

Fixed for GH2's really awesome 360 song.
