Speaking of, I cancelled my pre-order. I have zero interest in anything other than Dookie and fuck paying full price for just that.

Sorry HMX.

HMX should be apologizing to you for shoehorning the only good thing about Green Day into a $70 package.

You underestimate the selling power of the best-selling artist of the last decade!
I don't think it will crack the Top 10 so I'll guess 94k on 360.

Taking all three systems into consideration: 179k

I think it has a decent shot at the top 10 in June; there aren't a whole lot of big new releases out that month and the band is quite popular. I just don't see a whole lot of games out in May that are going to carry over into the next beyond SMG2 and UFC 2010.

That's a good point. 94k in June will probably be #3 with the way sales seem to be plummeting leading into the summer.

Sign you play too much RB. You've broken every instrument at least once (including the mic).

The head just popped off my mic.

Were you tapping it or did you have it clutched between your teeth while singing Stick Stickly?

Controller tamborine taps vindicated.
I don't like any percussion on my vocals. But if there is, you're damn right I'm gonna tap the mic, just like I'm gonna tilt the guitar. Holding a controller while I'm getting into vocals will make me look silly.

I think I can use a thin bead of glue and put the head back on. The mic still works fine.

I was playing lying down the other day, how does that fit in with your whole sitting/standing thing?
Only if it's a part of the performance. We did a competition a couple years back and I collapsed (on purpose) and sung the last verse on the floor.

One million by Christmas.

What are we talking about?

One dollar, Bob!

I'd do that if I got on The Price is Right. Even though Drew's hosting. I'd call him Bob.

I love that song. One of the best metal songs of all time.
The guys that got me into metal took me along a path that ignored Maiden, Dio, and stuff like that. It was more the Slayer/Metallica/Megadeth/Pantera/Sepultura route that I veered off into death metal.

Well look at it this way, you get to discover and enjoy a lot of amazing music in a time where shit is considered timeless classics.

We all need our guilty pleasures. There have been others before her and I'm sure there will be others after.

Damn straight. I admitted to a couple of my own guilty pleasure songs in the past.

There should definitely be some kind of contest thingy for predicting the GD:RB sales. (btw, I'm totally changing my bet from 800k to 610k, because I just took another look at the September '09 NPDs.)

Anyone wanna bet $10 GH will outsell RB3?
GH automatically gets double sales because of their instrument gimmick. They make the best guitars but the stupid things break after a month.

I've bought multiple copies of the guitar bundle (and/or stand-alone guitars) for every version since GH2 I think.

Luckily it's easy to flip the extra game to the uncaring Walmart service counter.

Everyone and their dog has a working pretend guitar now. Hardware is not going to make any difference.

RB3 is supposed to be out holiday time. Late October is the soonest that can be.

DJ 2 is out this year, and we've heard nothing. Makes sense it'd be after WoR, and it'll need some space.

Halo Reach is out mid September, GH needs to avoid it.

Jet Grind Radio! said:
Since Reach and GH are different genres, it could probably stand to Reach and be fine.
*sees PGR4's sales*

Nah.

edit: GH6 will probably release late August/early September, Halo Reach will release late September, RB3 mid-Oct, DJH2 late Oct.

Woah, we've been graced by a Harmonix guy again? I am surprised and a bit happy. I thought since we scared Teasdale away that we were blacklisted.
