RB already has auto-calibration though, but I agree that GH needs to get it's calibrating shit together. I can't even play GH5.

Yes it does. Hence why I said if GH gets its shit together on that front, I will enjoy the game more than RB.aristotle said:Rb2 doesn't have auto-calibration??

Like BBG said, GH5 is practically unplayable in any serious manner unless you spend half an hour adjusting your brain to the timing window.
ITP: stupidity.aristotle said:I never played GH5. I can't stand the franchise. I stuck with it until WT but it's just gone downhill to me. I don't think GH has gotten it's shit together. It's CoD now with guitars.

I have GH5. It sucks bro, sorry. I'd even say it's the worst 'mainline' GH game.TheGreatDave said:ITP: stupidity.
I was targeting "COD with guitars" mostly. I get people not liking 5.Natakuu said:I have GH5. It sucks bro, sorry. I'd even say it's the worst 'mainline' GH game.

mooooose said:No, but Rock Band 2 is dirt cheap. Around $10 to $15. So it wouldn't be a bad investment, even if Rock Band 3 comes out at the end of the Summer, you still get 90 songs + the ability to download whatever DLC you want.
So adding stuff to an agreeably flawed franchise that will make people want to play it more than two days is a bad thing?aristotle said:Well with it's star tracking, characters with certain perks, and online metagame...the correlation makes sense. Plus it's published by the same people. You know kotich will do anything he can to make it seem more innovated than it really is if it helps his bottom dollar.
Oh okay, well I don't have much to say on WoR. If they tweak some engine stuff I might actually enjoy it quite a bit. It doesn't have much of a chance against RB3(if only because of the already huge library of songs in RB), but it could be pretty good.TheGreatDave said:I was targeting "COD with guitars" mostly. aristotle monthly subscription postTheGreatDave said:The game is still pretty much exactly the same. It's not like it's suddenly an MMO. Only thing that matters is songs and stars.

I don't follow.

Why is that? Because it doesn't have a number attached to it? Because World Tour did just great.TheGreatDave said:2/3 of GH3's sales, confirmed.

AW SNAP!
I'd rather the game sell like shit and target teh hardcore anyways. <3 the current setlist.Terrordactyl said:Man they've really run the Guitar Hero name straight into the ground.
There hasn't been a "mainline" DDR in a while, actually.birdman said:Coming from a man who enjoys DDR.

Jet Grind Radio! said:It's mainstream appeal? Yes. My point was that there WOULDN'T be a Guitar Hero 32 since I'm sure the franchise will be dead by 7. Unless, of course, they stop caring about the casual and focus on the hardcore audience.
Developer Harmonix is already working on Rock Band 3, but we've heard that there's another project in the pipeline.
Recently, word got out that Harmonix plans to use keyboards for Rock Band 3, but we've also heard that the developer has an entirely separate Natal game based entirely around dancing. Whether Harmonix is also working with PlayStation's Move motion controller is unknown. Previously, it's been noted that Harmonix has licensed dance songs that would seem out of place in the Rock Band series, and this new dance title would seem to be the reason why.
Given the saturation of rock-based music games out there, as well as the frightening popularity of Just Dance for the Wii, a dance game from Harmonix is no surprise.

Can we get some DDR songs in Rock Band, now that we have the keytar?

Statistically, Bemani fans should exist, but I've not actually talked to any in quite a while. I don't think they really care, as they have TONS of Bemani games already.Ridley327 said:Man, I can only hope that the crazy Bemani fans lose their last shreds of sanity over that piece of news.
I'd be willing to bet that this dance game will be ultra-casual, just like Just Dance.
