that waifu thing is fucking weird, especially when you do a google image search.
I'm taking GD:RB back tomorrow* (haven't opened it yet) and transferring the credit to RB3 full band pack. I'm also taking all of my plastic guitars (they won't take drums) and applying that as well. Next week will be amazing, I hope.
*I used the pre-order code already so I have the songs available in RB2/3 on the hard drive.![]()
Yeah.birdman said:I just had the "oh shit, it's that song!" revelation with In the Meantime from the RB3 setlist.
Wait, was that song in GH5? I seem to remember it in a GH.

The Rock Band 3 Squier Stratocaster uses technology built into the neck and fingerboard of the guitar to track finger positions in real time. The guitar also transmits strum data for the six individual strings
Game will not be a Halloween release...that's a placeholder date because their computers needed to have someinng in the date field.ahvostik said:Start your countdowns til midnight release on 10/31/10...
140 days - 22 hours - 44 minutes - 10 seconds
I can't stop listening to the announced tracks: http://rockbandaide.com/5615/rock-band-3-keyboard-images-songs-video/
The cool thing about a Halloween release is that it falls on a Sunday this year so it'll be just like the Saturday midnight release of RB1 from so many years ago.

So going by this, if the half-tar didn't track your hands, it would cost <$50 for 102 fret buttons, six strum strings and a palm-mute pad? Your numbers make no sense.ahvostik said:<a bunch of stuff>

You're under the assumption that Guitar Hero is still relevant, though.TheGreatDave said:Yeah.
There's a fair amount of GH crossover in the announced list.
Last we heard was a couple of days ago that said he was probably going to pull through, but he still had a ways to go. They had tried to take him off of the respirator, but he took 40 breaths in one minute because his body has been accustomed to very shallow breathing. If he can't "learn to breathe" again, then they might have to take some drastic measures like a tracheotomy.DieNgamers said:Don't want to be a party pooper but before E3 hits: was there any news of the Xev? Harmonix has raised the bar. Guitar Hero has to innovate or die. Those are its only options.TheGreatDave said:lul lul lul

The genre is already in decline due to stagnation. A ham fisted story mode will do nothing to help music games get out of their rut. Pro mode and keyboards, at the very least, provide something new for players.TheGreatDave said:Yeah. Without pro mode the genre will die.

Why? Pro mode gives long time players a new challenge and compels them to keep on playing the game.TheGreatDave said:Remove Pro mode from your argument completely.

Archie said:Pro mode means that more people will gravitate towards Rock Band because it provides a new challenge that cannot currently be matched in GH, which in turn means that more attention will be paid to Rock Band. Calling GH irrelevant is hyperbole, but Activision has to at least match RB3's feature set in the future or it will be seen as outdated and a relic of the past.
There is a reason why GHWT went the full band route and tried to one up the original Rock Band.

I'm gonna call bullshit on that. A consumer-friendly way to learn guitar, keyboards or drum is sure to leave an impression on the general public.Grecco said:Pro Mode reinvigorates the base but will do nothing to bring in new customers. Which is what should be the point in a dieing genre.

It doesn't have to be harder though.. Pro mode has all four difficulties as well.Grecco said:What percentage of RB/GH players made the jump from medium to hard/expert? making an even harder mode will atract new consumers?
