My wallet already hurts from the good games this year, now toss in the iPhone 4 ( for me and the wife each) and Rockband 3.......ughahvostik said:awww, man... no iPhone 4 Pedro?
Isn't it crazy how both the iPhone 4 and Rock Band 3 were announced/unveiled in the same week?
it's like - wtf!? give my wallet some breathing room!! But in all seriousness - I'm planning on pre-ordering an iPhone 4 on Tuesday and getting it on day one (June 24th).
RB3 won't be out until October 31 at the earliest so I'm going to put aside ~ $80 a month so I'll be able to afford new drums, the half-tar, and the keyboard/software bundle.
Dude good call! Or if they don't there's no reason you can Macguyver your own.Roarer said:I hear people worrying about having to tune the real-tar for different songs, but don't you think Harmonix/MadCatz/Whatever will go the PowerGig-route, i.e. you'll insert a piece of plastic between the strings and pick-up that mutes the sound? Seems like an easy way to avoid the hassle of dropping the tuning.

yeah man, pics straight from Facebook =)ahvostik said:Pedro - what's your facebook name / real name?
I want to friend/stalk you.
only because it looks like you uploaded these pics to facebook which I think is awesome.
ahvostik said:man... if I was an investor behind PowerGig I would be shitting myself over this recent Rock Band 3 news.
how much is the PowerGig guitar anyway?
2&2 said:No clue. I don't think they've said.
Another thing is that they've focused so much on the instrument, but the game itself could be terrible. It's still a video game, so the software has to be good to make it compelling to gamers. From what they've shown, the game looks like ass, imo. I'd be shocked it the software/features/design etc. were anywhere close to that of RB3.
There's some gameplay footage on gametrailers -> http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-power-gig/101032. I don't think RB3 has got anything to worry about.2&2 said:No clue. I don't think they've said.

ahvostik said:I wonder if Clapton will consider coming over to RB3 now that PRO guitar mode is in the pipeline.
orrrr maybe he signed an exclusivity contract with powergig... which would suck.
It looks like you have to know how to play guitar already, and have the songs memorized, to get anything out of the game.2&2 said:No clue. I don't think they've said.

HMX most likely started developing their realtar stuff way before the PowerGig people, lol.Charron said:I kinda want to see the PowerGig people's patent portfolio. If they've got the right stuff they may not even need a game to be profitable, just start lobbing lawsuits.
If they don't have patents, then yea, they're fucked Rock Revolution tier.
Motion Picture Soundtrack said:I wonder how bends will work in guitar pro mode.
Whoa, I aways wanted to learn guitar officially keeping my eyes on this maybe it will push me over the edge. I hope reviews will tell both how good the game it is and how well the learning aspects work.ahvostik said:Awesome video and information.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AAy-NGf2VQ&feature=channel

we have to do something during that horrendous and long 5 months.TAJ said:Wat. I thought you were making one when RB3 came out.
Well, the game is touting Layla as one of its premier songs, so if Clapton is exclusive, Derek and the Dominos may be off-limits as well.birdman said:I'm hoping it's like what AMUSIX said that hopefully Clapton being exclusive doesn't mean we can't get stuff from Cream and Derek and the Dominos.
ahvostik said:the game is going to bomb and no one will buy/play/think it at all. ever. (unless they're talking about Eric Clapton)
$179.99 for the guitar and game wouldn't be so bad... if the game didn't look like it was made in 2005. Also... the fact that they're using color coded frets doesn't suggest they have any idea what they're doing.
