I just got a PS4 today, and I've been trying to download the update for this game for the past hour. It keeps on downloading, and then freezing up about half way through the download. The game itself is finished, but I can't finish the update file. Has anyone else had problems like these? Sony's download servers are really pissin me off right now.

I have fairly fast internet too, which makes this all the more frustrating, and I even tried opening the ports suggested in this thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1090899 , but that didn't help at all.

Have seen some instances of weird ball physics post-patch. That might be related to lag or something. More jarring though is that non-boost driving feels slower, which totally throws off timing of just about everything you do. Things just feel off and it's tough to adjust to after having played the game so much.

I had thought a few days ago to that I really really wanted to do a GAF 1v1 tournament, but with cross play... and now that it's possible... Damn really. Thanks Psyonix.

Yeah the password thing is super cool. I dont kind that I can't have parties, but it's awesome for tournaments

I just got a PS4 today, and I've been trying to download the update for this game for the past hour. It keeps on downloading, and then freezing up about half way through the download. Best I can suggest is pausing and unpausing the download. Or uninstall and reinstall.

The latest patch today froze on me a few times and I just kept pausing and unpausing. Took longer than it should have. Not sure why

I find the new map to be a bit confusing on my 40' tv for some reason, playin layin back. not so much on my monitor

something about the bright color scheme makes me kinda miss the ball and other cars a bit

also no visible walls is kinda strange but I guess not really a nuissance or obstacle at this point

The new map has a lower ceiling. Im not imaging that am I?

Corners are wider too. Unless I am seeing things.

I am hoping that they add a nighttime variant and get around to improving framerate for existing maps

It's actually pretty subtle when it happens in motion, I didn't notice it at first until I watched a replay and slowed it down haha

And yeah the framerate seemed fine when it happened as far as I could tell

Edit: New explosion is great, doesn't damage performance like the old one did. Also, won a 4v4 on Utopia, didn't get achievement. It's broken.

Did you try to buy the DLC? Probably - if you did and then try to matchmake it doesn't work - it's a known bug. Quit the application and relaunch.

So, how do you do online spectator mode? I was able to do it in an offline match, but can't seem to find out how to do it in an online match. I started an online match, hoping an option to be player or spectator would come up.

I've set chat options to team-only, and it is one of the greatest decisions I've ever made.

It should be like that at default.
