Tutorial: How to win Kickoffs in Rocket League

Learned a lot form this vid alone. I am always the guy who goes for kickoffs but i tend to lose them most of the time.

kickoffs are a bad habit I've developed. I constantly lose them now, but my muscle memory is based upon shitty stuff. Haven't learned the flip timing for shit like in the video.

good video, i don´t usually try "fast" kickoffs, since my flips sometimes take me places i don´t want to be in. i guess i should give it a try though.

I win 3 games and go one division up, followed by losing 3 games and going one division down. Typical RL.

Edit: Next sitting: 1 win out of 7 games. Rumble can't come soon enough. I need to blow off some steam with a boot to the face.

I'm sure he will still be staff at RLCS. They guy has a daytime job and a new baby this probably fits him better now since he stepped down from play because he didn't have the time to play as much as the other pros.

I feel ya. I've probably only won 25% of the matches I played in the last two days. This shit is no good for my heart. I feel sick from this shit. I need that Rumble mode as fast as possible.

We all have those days, though. Solo Standard especially... Man, I just can't get beyond Challenger Elite in that playlist. No consistency at all, and no ability to carry a bad team. And I've been playing for 800+ hours.

Rumble will be a good remedy for slumps, I think. Can't wait for the update to hit later today ( tonight? )!

Yeah it's straight up bullshit. Why the playerbase should fund RLCS is way beyond me. This is the biggest flair update ever and it's all locked out to whales only and the prices are abysmal. It's more expensive than any Gacha game and unlike all the Gacha games there's no small amount of them being given to players for free. It's one of the worst cases of microtransactions being forced in that I've seen so far.

The price of 5 keys is not far off what the car packs were and what do we get in return? The reassurance that Kronovi and crew won't go hungry.

Rumble IS fun, I'm having a blast with it BUT I've bought all their DLC and the game twice because I like the cosmetics. Yes they're purely visual but that's something I've happily thrown down money for in the past but there is a critical difference here. We're now on the crate and key take a gamble at what you want system, meaning any money I put forward for these keys a possible waste.

Not only do we no longer have control over what we may get but the cost of them has increased exponentially with this too, meaning if I wanted to have all content like I'd always aimed to with RL, it could now cost me hundreds and that's just on one platform. To top it off we are not being rewarded in any way by this key system for taking part as an active player, whereas a key drop every now and then could have easily been a rare but randomized treat based on play time.

Finally, the playerbase have been requesting stuff like more decals for the longest time and now that it's here it's locked behind a crate and key system rather than just a big DLC pack. I'd have happily paid for the content in a big pack, but these are free to play mechanics in a full priced game. I'd have honestly rather paid for Rumble and all the extras than what we ended up with.

it's basically a lottery. With rocket league becoming a popular eSport, the crates are just going to be another addicting thing bringing people back.

Those cars in the crates are exact copies of cars already out too, aren't they? They're just a reskin. I wouldn't want that as paid DLC.

It seems like common sense. Give players a trickle of keys and crates... but allow them to pay for more keys whenever they want. Done exclude completely. I hate to say this but... Look at how 3Arc handled the BLOPS3 Crates. As much as i detest it in that game i'd love it in this game! (save for them hiding truly unique, new cars in crates... not just re-skins)

However, there will be plenty of people looking to trade their sweet-ass tires+rims for keys. Keys that you buy with real money. Sure it's not free, but if you really need that Dominus Import skin, you can essentially go about it as if you're buying it as DLC, for what it's worth.

Hell I've seen people wanting to trade crate items for unopened crates, and those are free drops that everyone gets.

Ya'll must really loathe CS:GO with every fibre of your being, because this is essentially the same as there, just without the bullshit 0.00000001% drop rate pristine knives that people pay hundreds of dollars for.

I was just going to ask if there was a problem for everyone. The game is wrecked on Xbox. Its running at like 20fps in rumble and noticeable worse in normal mode.

There is not. If you don't plan on ever buying keys you can turn off the notification that tells you you received a crate.
