I shot people I like more for less.
I'm taking it personally because it sounds like racism and it's offending.

Probably shouldn't throw the racism accusation around willy-nilly.

Edit: anyway, back to tennis. The women's matches tomorrow look pretty solid, though I'm curious as to how well Petkovic will play. It'd be nice to see her move on after dealing with all those injuries. Would like to see her and Halep make it through. For the men, let's go with Ferrer and La Monf, though neither will probably happen :p

Prediction: Errani will routine Petkovic and Halep will beat Kuznetsova in three tough sets.

Going back to the career slam discussion, it is already devalued even before Novak might get it. When Agassi did it, it was impressive because the courts were so much different in the 80s and 90s. Back then they had clay court and grass specialists. Players had to change their game depending on the surface. Now everything plays the same.

Around 2000, they changed the Wimbledon grass so it played slower. They also started slowing down the US Open in the last 10 years. The player that benefited most from this was Nadal. 20 years ago Nadal would have never won Wimbledon or the US Open. Can't fault him for it though... he was just born at the right time. Three players getting career slams in a span of 5 years is also what devalues a career slam. It's not as special anymore.

Remember the Australian Open even had the super bounce surface for a while. That worked well until the Karlovic, Isner, and Kevin Andersens of the world came along. They didn't want those tall guys with short rallies winning a slam so they slowed it back down and decreased the bounce off the surface to give the grinders the advantage again just like they do in every other slam

correct about everything
petkovic blasting errani now, five games in a row. hopefully she keeps this up so this up so this match will be over quick. the weather ain't looking good.

Yep, homogenizing the surfaces is one of the greatest modern crimes in all of sports.

I struck out with my prediction of a Nadal upset.

Dude is a machine at the French. Now I am not even sure Djoker is going to beat him.

ferrer starts pretty good, but just can see him hanging with nadal in a best of five on clay. might be even for a set or two, but after that i think nadal will cruise.

It was overhyped to begin with. Hopefully Monfils gives us at least one highlight reel shot/attempt to make it worth our while.

Monfils has a tendency to play better under this crowd though, but Murray is just too solid.Monfils is playing way too timidly to bother him at all.

Nice job Ferrer.

crucial set for ferrer. if we had blown that this would have been over.

just hope he won't let nadal break right at the start of the second. got to keep up that momentum.

Rafa looks befuddled right now. Like his first time playing mirror mode. He needs a Bullet Bill or a Blue Shell right about now....

frankly, i have always held the opinion that tennis commentators do not utilize enough mario kart analogies.

ferrer with an easy hold despite his first serve not showing up. this nadal is not playing well.

who on earth so far could have upset even an injured nadal? thiem is the only one he has played that had even a theoretical chance.
I was betting on Father Time and the grueling nature of the French Open.

Even if Nadal loses to Djoker or ferrer I would still say Nadal beat FT for one more round.
