Federer should retire at this point, his heart is still there but it seems anyone can beat him especially in tie breaks, his age is catching up to him

I shot people I like more for less.
you should look at the context of the post of mine you quoted.

anyway, i left before djokovic-tsonga and came back during the second last game. looks like i made a good choice.

Honestly, I didn't even look at the names lol. I think I know you a little better than that by now man :p

Edit: I see now, ha. I'll edit that one out.

seems like anyone can beat Federer these days. Age is catching up to him. He's had a great career, he should just retire

Good work closing out.

Didn't actually think Maria played badly in the first set she lost (except timing those DFs that way) - Sam was relentless and none of her shanking tendencies apparent. On point, literally, and I thought back to their epic clay three setter in Stuttgart couple of years ago. These two go hard meeting on clay.

Didn't mind the final set being less dramatic this time around though.

What kind of comeback from Maria. Truly the biggest fighter out there.

People have been saying Fed should retire for years. He's still winning though and if he still loves the game why not keep playing? It doesn't tarnish his legacy by continuing to play. Sure his streaks end and he'll lose to lesser seeds but he's not there to break records.

Still sucks seeing him lose though.

I know this is not the right thread for my question but it is the best one I can find right now

Can you guys/gals tell me the best tennis app for android/ios? (android would be best)

People say Federer should retire. I say, if this old man Fed that should retire still in top 10, what does that say about the few thousand ranked and unranked pros that are ranked below him? Surely they should all hang up their rackets, right?

It is annoying. If he'd start getting injured all the time or something along those lines, yeah, let the guy retire.

Just because he's losing some matches here and there and he's 32, he should retire.
With that logic, every single player on the ATP just should just call it quits, since he's the highest ranked 32 year old at 4 (or 5 or whataver it is now). But he's too old now and losing. Sorry Haas and Robredo, you're too old, just retire. Get off the court.

Well Haas should definitely retire. He's old AND stays injured.

You just can't beat a full cycle Nadal in this tournament. He learned to alter ot after losing to Soderling. He no longer does the super cycle to make it through Wimbledon.

Bagel incoming. Solid from Nadal, and just a bad matchup for Lajovic. Lajovic seems to like to move his opponents around with deep topspin shots, but Nadal's power and speed negates that.
EDIT: Lajovic avoids the bagel

Halep and Stephens are striking the ball pretty well, the unforced errors make up the difference (not big so far). JJ should probably have taken that set from Errani.

How can these players not beat Errani? Seriously her serve is a winner waiting to be made.

John Dunbar

correct about everything
maybe sloane will actually start bringing it in other tournaments besides slams. you can't sampras it until you've actually won something.

Are Verdasco and Murray wearing the same clothes or is that just me?

Edit: different shoes. That helps.

Welp all the Americans are out now. Honestly they lasted longer than I expected.

Gael Monfils is the last Frenchmen remaining, and hopefully he comes through todays match then beats Murray in the quarters
