I like how this thread started off as a discussion of a video that a girl maybe likes video games and turned into a discussion on conspiracy theories and wanted to be choked.

It could just be that they don't like her because she believes in really shitty conspiracy theories, and not that her belief in conspiracies makes for a convenient excuse.

I am comparing that there are a lot of people who at religion the same way you people look at conspiracy theories. You don't have to like my opinions like i don't have to like yours.
Never said they were the same i said I don't care any more about her belief in her conspiracies then i do someones religion. You are free to believe in flying pigs, god, buddah etc. you are free to believe in whatever conspiracy theory you want.
Obviously conspiracy theory is not the same as religion. Simply stating that i don't care.

That's the other real reason to care about conspiracy theories. If some weird old uncle of yours believes in a conspiracy theory, I wouldn't really care. But when a high profile celebrity does, it's a different ballgame.
Since then you know, we get dipshits like Jenny McCarthy and the whole mess she helped to cause.
Fallon's show has way more legacy and expectations. His show is supposed to handily beat all other talk shows in ratings. Well established hosts who come into the job and don't receive immediate high ratings numbers are quickly fired (Conan), so I'm thinking NBC is a bit more controlling than CBS.

To me religions not some special snowflake, it's all pretty damn bananas and IMO a product of our minds trying to connect the dots and find hidden meaning in shit or whatever. But as long as you're not hurting people then why should it matter to me?
I don't see why I should have less respect for someone who believes something I think is silly-yet-harmless than anyone else who believes something I think is silly. :/
