95% seems like a awfully biased figure honestly. While it's true that 3D screens are significantly less for obviously reasons, pretty much every major cinema chain has a 3D screen in most cinemas now. They're not going to be showing Avatar on every single one of their screens either, but they're definitely be showing it on the 3D screen.
In fact, for the 95% figure to be anywhere close to accurate, if the the movie opens on 3000 screens, then it would be only showing in 150 3D screens nationwide. Is that remotely reasonable to you?
