A cut of any movie featuring Biehn > a cut without him.

Heres something Ive often wondered, being a Biehn fan. Since T2 is in so many ways T1 Redux, why not just go the whole way and cast Biehn as the T-1000? Dont get me wrong, Robert Patrick was great, but there could have been an awesome shit-in-your-pants-tension scene if Sarah thought she was running away from the Terminator (Arnie) and TOWARDS a somehow resurrected Kyle Reese.

Considering the T1000 can shapeshift, it would have made a lot of sense for it to happen for at least one scene.

The T1000 was after John though, and not Sarah.

He can only shapeshift into things in which he has had direct physical contact.

Secondly, how would Skynet know who the fuck Kyle Reese is and that Sarah would go for him. This isn't fucking T4.

Skynet knows of John and Sarah Connor. Is it really a stretch that it would know about his father?

Yes. Because there is no record of him in the past and no record of him being John's father in the future.

I hate that people act like the T800 gave Sarah a pregnancy test after fucking Kyle in T1 and then sent and sms to the future, before then finding them and continuing his pursuit of them.

1. The T800 didn't know who Kyle was, let alone that he fucked Sarah.
2. Kyle and Sarah were together one night and there as no record of Kyle.

See though, this is part of the retardation of Terminator's logic. Its a big time loop, so SOMEBODY has to know who John's father is.

Saw it again tonight and liked it a lot more. I had to sit farther away though, too far for my old glasses to see much detail. I think that weirdly might have helped since I just payed more attention to the characters instead of all the crazy shit around them. I liked Jake a looooottt more this time.

Yes, John and Sarah know. That is all. John knows he has to send his father back. That is all.

Didn't notice their qeues were already attached in the movie. I thought it supposed to happen after the scene cuts off, but looks like it was cut from the middle of the scene.

edit: pic is from Leona Lewis music vid, not movie rip

Actually, he doesnt :lol John never told him that. "Hey man, you're my dad, so do me a solid and please go to the future and fuck my mom and create me, would ya?"

You just spoiled McGs plan for T5 :(

p.s. There's an HD version of Aliens out there if you do the nasty. Seems to be an HDTV rip, have not seen it personally.

hmmm

http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=3961

The 'Alien' tetralogy is still unannounced on Blu-ray, but one lucky person already has it at home - Sigourney Weaver has revealed that she just gave the discs to her 19-year-old daughter as a "surprise Christmas present." Previously, the New York-born actress had also said she had recorded new commentaries for all four movies

I dont know why Im even arguing Terminator. As much as I love the two movies, the internal logic is so FUBAR by the end of the second movie that its not even worth trying to sort out. It kind of worked out for the best that Cameron stepped away from the franchise.

I think the blu is coming within the next 6 months. That's when they're releasing the Aliens Quartet (fuck quadrilogy). So I'll grab the first 2 then. Wonder if there will be any more extras added.

I wish they would give us a proper release of True Lies already. I need the making of True Lies and some commentary.

Edit: @Dead - Excellent.

How? :lol

Yes. Not for the Terminator franchise, obviously, but in every other respect, yes. We probably wouldnt have Avatar today if Cameron had actually decided to make T3 after Titanic. Also, like I said, Cameron himself had fucked up any sort of internal logic in these movies before T3 even hit and made it even worse.

If I have to buy the Alien movies in the god damn quadrilogy boxset I am going to be pissed.

I want Alien and Aliens. And MAYBE Alien 3. Maybe.

Resurrection can go fuck itself.

First things first. Get me a fucking proper transfer of T2.

I know the first time I watched T2 on DVD I was like..."wait...WHAT THE FUCK is this shit!?"
The first time I seen it was in 94 I was 10, and I thought the world was going to end in 96, it scared me!:lol :lol :lol stupid kid I was!:lol

I don't see why that would be the case, production for Avatar didn't really kick into gear until 2006, three years after Terminator 3 would have released.

Yes, but who's to say that doing T3 after Titanic wouldnt have sent Cameron into a 20 year hiatus, let alone a 12 year one?

The blu-ray of T2 is really kind of disgustingly ugly.

I'm guessing Terminator 3 wouldn't have grossed $1.84 Billion

How did Marco Beltrami and Danny Elfman BOTH manage to fuck up the Terminator theme, by the way? Its one of the most iconic and awesome themes out there, and Beltrami fucked it up, and I dont think Elfman even used it. Jesus fuck.

Both of Fiedel's arrangements rock, and I can never decide which I prefer. I love T2's heavier, industrial feel, but T1's synth really gets under my skin too.

I dont think it was DOLLA BILLZ that sent Cameron into exile (not that he didnt make over $100M on Titanic), but rather exhaustion from the production of Titanic/waiting for effects to advance again. A movie as stressful to make as Titanic followed up by T3, which would have been just as hard to make? Cameron could have lost his damn mind :lol

Didn't Cameron say he wanted to make T2 in 3D? I'd totally double dip for this which is his best movie!
I don't think that he have any affiliation with the Terminator series anymore...

I still LOVE Terminator.
T3 was the low point, but Salvation and the TV show were both completely awesome.
And 3 was still pretty good.

Good find. Figured it was after as well.

There is no way in this reality that Avatar is better than Terminator 2 or Aliens.

If I saw T2 when I was like 5 years old, I might have loved it. But watching it now, all I see is outdated effects, shitty actors, and fucking CHEESE.

The only bad effect I can spot in T2 is the guy sticking his arm out from behind the T1000 to give him a third arm while reloading and driving at the same time. Reminded me of the hole Bishop is standing in at the end of Aliens.

Other effects still look great, which is remarkable for early CG work; it generally hasn't held up well.

could be. or maybe the rest of the movie is so solid that i get caught up in the moment, so little niggling flaws like that get glossed over.

regardless of the reason, it's still an excellent film, and my favorite of cameron's work by a country mile.
