I'm sorry guys, I want Avatar 2+3, I want it to have a mindblowing story, and I want it asap, so... we'll just have to wait a bit more for Battle Angel and James Cameron's Hiroshima.

Now, there's still a difference of $3.x million between 'mojo and ERC's worldwide numbers. Who's the authority?

To me it's like picking out flavors of ice cream. I love ice cream, it's great stuff. And Cameron makes nothing but really good ice cream - he's like Hagen Daz. And he just announced that he might do a new flavor that sounds really awesome. But instead he's doing a variation on this other fla aw fuck I can't finish the analogy.

I want Battle Angel!

But I sure won't mind more Avatar either.

Yes. I want Battle Angel.

I can understand that; however, as I have never seen Battle Angel, I feel I can wait until the Avatar trilogy is done. I don't want it rushed so if that means Cameron taking some time off of Avatar to do another movie here or there then I wouldn't mind at all. From what I know of The Dive, I think it's another documentary movie, so I always thought that Cameron might do that before he goes on and does the second Avatar film (this would give Cameron a break from doing a major motion picture and give him some more research for creatures and set locations of the second film).

Battle Angel would have me hyped about 100x more than AVATAR 2.

Cameron doing R-rated, dystopian sci-fi action with cyborgs with the same tech he used for AVATAR?

It would also be (weirdly) refreshing to see him go from lush, beautiful Pandora to the ruins of a technologically peaked society. Then the return to Pandora after that might be even better.

An R-rated dystopian sci-fi movie with cyborgs in the future directed and written by James Cameron? How can that ever go wrong?

Sometimes it makes me sad to know that whatever film Cameron makes next won't be out for another 2-3 years. I'm sad because I could die between then.

The Universe, if you're listening, please don't let me die.

Hell yes.

Although, I would much prefer it if he did a Ghost in The Shell film. Oh well, though.

Hmmm I like your words, they are about beautiful things... but I still want Avatar 2 first... I think... or maybe... oh shit what have you done.

The 2007 script is now out there: http://kcbluesman.websitetoolbox.com/post?id=4262083

If you want to know know what the earth scenes are, and what other things were cut out of the movie, this is the best way

The opening movie shot is the same, with the same dialogue, however is flashes to Sam at his apartment, instead of in Cryo

The voice over dialogue from the movie (they can fix a spinal, etc) is actually heard in the Earth scenes in the script

GIMME. Don't have permissed to view that message board!

Looks like whoever said there was probably more to that Dinner scene the first time Jake arrives at hometree was right

Also, looks like they still had Tsu'tey get his queue scalped off by Wainfleet in this script. Guess they changed it for PG-13 in the film

The scene between Tsu'tey and Jake, as seen in that deleted scene picture, is really nice too.

From that Cameron Q&A

http://hollywood-elsewhere.com/2010/01/longer_more_goo.php

HE reader and correspondent Terry Woods reports "a friend just got back from an invitational screening of Avatar plus a James Cameron q & a. The director stated that his first cut of the film was 4 hours and 18 minutes. A fair amount of Sigourney Weaver's scenes were deleted and other secondary characters were pared down. A sizable number of special-effects scenes were also excised including a battle between Jake's Avatar and some howling Pandoran animal. In fact the beast itself was excised completely from the final theatrical cut.

Presumably much of this material will resurface as an extended Avatar Director's Cut DVD/Blu-ray, which would also include the Jake-Neytiri sex scene.

A sizable number of special-effects scenes were also excised

Looks like the Sturmbeest hunt was pretty much finished

Also like how much more dangerous they make Pandora in the beginning. Where not only does the StingBat attack the compound as soon as Jake rolls out, but Quaritch's introduction to the bashee's and his little speech to all the fresh meat, whilst mowing down trees. All this happens before Jake goes to sleep as his avatar for the first time.

That may be the funniest thing I've read in the thread... Funny because it's true! :lol :lol

The question is how much of the film was rendered. I would love that 4 hour cut.

Just reading through the 2007 script and seeing Grace talk about the schools and the past they've had with the Omaticaya tribe. Damn this could be a great Director's Cut.

With all the money that the movie is making, Cameron should be able to fart out the money for a good Extended Edition

Ill be really disappointed if we dont get one that is 25-30 minutes longer. There is so much good stuff in this script

I want to see Jake capturing the big bird, forgot its name.
Even in the script, it is the same as in the movie. It fades to black after he lands on it.

Cameron never intended to show it apparently.

Oh shit, in this scriptment, at the end, Neytiri is
seen bowfishing whilst being 'obviously pregnant'
. Actually kind of glad that was cut.

That might be an excellent scene for post credits.

Oh man, Cameron even had a scene where Jake, Grace and Norm walk through the ruins of the old school, this was before the Thanator chase.

Just read that extra scene between Selfridge and Quaritch that we saw a glimpse of. Basically, Quaritch gets the miners workforce in on the attack as well, effectively forming a high scale militia and Selfridge realises how much things are spinning out of control.

They also have a big preparations and tactics scene with the Na'vi leading up to the final battle.

I hate it when movies do that shit. Fucking hacks.

Ah come on! Credits end, fade in from black to see the described shot, she looks at the camera then fades out. Only accompanied by sound effects of the jungle, it could be pretty gewd.

I wonder how much is Fox willing to spend on rendering scenes just for the video release. Unfortunately I'm gonna guess not much.

The backstory of Graces school would have really added something more to the movie. Gah!

I wonder if all the scenes of Sturmbeest herd were done, but only cut to stay in continuity since the hunt was removed...

Oh cool, you also see the scene (which is glimpsed in the B-Roll footage video) of when Hell's Gate is breached and the AVATAR's/Na'vi come rushing through and take the compound.
