Router/networking question for X360

Hey guys!

I'm really unfamiliar with networks and routers, and with the upcoming Xbox 360 launch, I want to be able to connect my Xbox 360 and PC togheter to stream music and images.

So the question here is: Will just a router be enough to link my PC and Xbox 360 in a proper network allowing them to see each other, all the while letting them both access the internet?

Thanks.

I've had good luck with the Linksys stuff. Get one with wireless G, even if you don't plan to use the Xbox wirelessly at first, it may prove very useful in the future, and they don't cost too much money.

Yo Atomic, i have absolutely nothing relevant to say in your thread. I'm only posting because because.

Now go to sleep basturd, you work tonight LOL

LOL get back to work you lazy bum! :lol

Atomic, drop me a line fool.

And get the Microsoft MN-700 router, that's what I'm running on, efficient, and it is the one sure enough to work well with 360.

I had a Linksys before that broke out when I did the firmware update. I gave it to a friend who booted it with Linux, found the trouble, and fixed it. He used it for a while, and then, did the firmware update, and the router died. And don't even think that Linksys will help you out on that.

I second that.

So do I.

For those looking for a dirt cheap solution, there was already some other thread about it, but the gist is that the DI-604 is a great, xbox certified way to go.
