Oh man, Outrun 2.

That was a great Sega-three right there: Outrun 2, this game, and Shenmue II. So good.

Gunvalkyrie's final run to the end boss was nuts enough, but the actual boss was too much. You absolutely have to boost combo, shift, fire cannon, turn around, boost, reverse and repeat, all in the air to even get close enough to the floating baby head. Took way too much concentration.

After playing through the final levels and boss (which I think took a good few goes), I was boosting around everytime I closed my eyes for the next day or more.
It's one of those kinda repetitive, intense mechanics that takes a lot of focus to keep up and it hooks into that pattern-loving primal part of your brain.

Maybe I will get the xbox out.

I'd say GV is easily better than both, but I never could enjoy Panzer Dragoon Orta for whatever reason.

OutRun 2, though, is a great one that I forgot about, as is SpikeOut Battle Street. One of those might be on top.

Dang all you people talking about O2 make me feel like I messed up when I got C2C. Guess I need to fix that.

Anyway Spikeout has sat on my shelf for ages, is it fun in single player?

Spikeout is that good? Looks kinda Dynamite Cop-tier to me, which isn't a good thing... but if it's actually good, I'll definitely check it out.

The 1998 Arcade version of Spikeout is alot better. I love that game actually, even tough the combat was inspired of it in Yakuza, I like the combat still better in Spikeout!

SpikeOut Battle Street is definitely less clunky than Dynamite Cop, but as a warning, I think Dynamite Cop is pretty cool.

Inverted camera made this game unplayable to me. I put hours into it, hours of trying really goddamn hard, but I could never get used to it.

Fuck inverted in any game ever.

Same here. I wanna love the game, but I can't play it because of the inverted controls.
