The lyrics are often pretty thematically appropriate for specific episodes (The Eddie Vedder song comes to mind)

I love those scenes, they're just a fun way to end episodes I think.

I'm surprised you find them so intrusive, I really enjoyed almost all of them except for the NIN one, I'm just not into their sound. I love the soundtrack in general though, the Johnny Jewel stuff is fantastic.

yeah probably the fact I straight up marathoned season 2 and went straight to the season 3 dvds. Not that I’m not enjoying the series, it’s just so far every time I see the bang bang sign I’m thinking “here’s another musical guest I want to skip.”

Ahh yes, the infamous episode 8. I always like to see new viewers reaction to that. I also agree with you about the musical acts, they did nothing for me and I usually skipped em.

I've seen Mulholland Drive and Blue Velvet. Mulholland drive stands apart as more atsy than Twin Peaks or Blue Velvet in my mind. Or maybe less bizarro artsy and more eclectic artsy.
