[RUMOR] Marvel vs Capcom Infinite roster leaked

By comparison non assist games like pre mvc and tvc are a lot easier for a casual to learn/mash with and not get as completely destroyed like they can in mvc1-3

I loved how the music stopped when he listed off the Marvel side of the roster LOL. It's sooooooooo bad.

cant say I can trust Max on anything capcom related he never says much negative stuff about their games, just supports them no matter how bad they act

What did he say in that video that was wrong? It hardly came across as stanning from Capcom. Came across pretty honest in his analysis?

You are still going to be completely destroyed in this game.

The Tag system is essentially a new form of Assist system in the game only it works in reverse. Your point character assists your anchor only you have far more freedom over which moves you choose to tag which means more freeform tactics.

And that means higher skill cap.

First MvC game I don't care about. Hopefully the DLC will bring some good characters, because this roster is pathetic. Such a wasted opportunity, assuming this is all true. Will wait for ultimate edition if at all.

Seems real. No X-Men so it follows the "cut our nose to spite our face" trend and no matter how cool Black Widow is, she won't get her time to shine under the sun with the big boys.

Capcom lineup seems way weaker than I would have thought. Not a lot of new characters.

I was just thinking that judging from all of her action sequences in the films, Black Widow would have been a great grappler. Fuck you, Marvel.

I'm not seeing what is interesting about Gamora unless Capcom really wanted another sword user. Black Widow would have been more interesting based on the films with command grabs, electric batons, and spy shit.

Iirc she played a major role in the original infinity gems story line being the one who stole the gauntlet from thanos. She might be in mvci for the sake of having a role in the story mode.

The Capcom side in particular is weak as hell, assuming it's true. So many good franchises to pick from and that's the best they can come up with for a base roster.

I think i got their pattern and know what the 4 missing DLC characters besides Sigma and Venom are for "give us more money"- Pack 1:

Marvel:
-Quicksilver
-Malekith

Capcom:
-Ken
-Rufus

Max just can't win. He was shat on by some in the SFV thread because he doesn't like the game and doesn't cover it much.

I think he just doesnt want to offend capcom Im pretty sure they hook him up with swag for the support, which is why I dont really think he can be unbiased

Damn that is disappointing. I could deal with no Phoenix Wright if the Capcom side had more brand new characters to compensate, but it's such a safe and boring roster. Monster Hunter and Jedah are kind cool though.

Even the Marvel side has barely any new characters which I hoped wouldn't be the case with the removal of X-men/F4. No Tchalla is a huge surprise since I thought he was a lock for the base roster. Gamora is nice to see but the lack of female characters is so upsetting

I'll be fine with the roster if the content is good but if that's lackluster as well then I'll wait for a price drop and hope one of the DLC characters entice me.

considering the size, the roster seems about like what you'd expect

Jesus this roster looks like complete shit. Like...Jesus. Might as well have just updated MvC3 again.

The best option might have actually been taking the budget for this game and adding a story mode like gg's and as many characters as possible to umvc3

That was actually Nebula. Gamora got wiped out in the initial wave that destroyed half of the universe's life.

Honestly, if they took Nick out cause he isn't a "typical fighter" or whatever, they should've put the Steel Samurai in as an Ace Attorney rep. He could have a fanboying Edgeworth as part of a hyper or something. I mean either that or Franzy with a whip.

Pretty shit roster all around, if true. I used to be excited for vs games to see new characters. And even post MCU, I still looked forward to who Capcom would bring to the table. This is just sad.

good thing the roster is bad i wont be tempted to buy this game with how awful all the released tidbits about it has been.

I would be saying that except Capcom`s side is so lame too, so yeah.

I feel like the Capcom side is solely limited by the roster side. It's more important for them to bring back as many old characters as possible then to bring in new characters. There's nothing really bad about it, it's just too short.

From a character perspective is pretty bland outside the two newcomers and X if you are a MM fan

That's really disappointing if so. Marvel side is almost purely MCU related and Capcom side has a lot of basic/boring choices. Plus cutting the roster down so much from MVC3 is a big minus, I get it's probably to make balancing the game easier but crossover games beg for a stacked roster.

Such a disappointing roster. I don't understand why GnG gets 2 reps. I wish DMC had another character. Surprised at no SF newcomer. Glad Nova made it in.

Would it have killed them to put Black Panther in the main roster? Like, come on. Captain Marvel has a movie coming out and she was one of the first introduced. Wakanda would have been a dope-ass stage to play in.

Well yeah, but I'm just glad they've brought back a variety of characters, and not just the likes of Vergil, Wesker, Zero, and all the other commonly picked characters.

I'm just saying that they're kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place, and a 14 character limit is the main problem here. They could have either done what they've done here, and bring back a lot of old characters, with a couple of newcomers who were requested a lot, or done a SFIII and brought in mostly new characters, along with say 4 veterans.

They could make a small roster size work, just not with that character selection. There should be at least 8 new characters on each side, but even then, they could have made the roster much more exciting with the a more diverse list of veterans (PW, Vergil, Amaterasu Haggar, Wesker etc).

Also 2 females only on their side, being Chun and Morrigan is just awful. AWFUL.

Great cast , but then again , I'm okay with it just being MCU characters. Only characters I want to see are Black Panther and some female super heroes! Hopefully DLC improved this aspect.

Dang if the rumor ia true, it breaks my heart that no Gene or Arisen made the cut.

Also, no Leon yet, why?

As for Marvel side, star lord would have been cool?

Wish they had pshylock or Rogue this game.
