This pretty much ticks all the boxes to be a colossal failure:

- 10.1 inch screen, when the market is trending towards ~8 inch devices.
- Runs Windows RT which nobody wants.
- Priced similar to iPad. So why not just get an iPad?

Pretty much spot on. Though I still like RT I'm probably one of five people.

Launching with 8.1 was a smart idea in theory, give the marketplace a year to mature, let MS take their licks on Surface RT and then swoop in when things are turning around...


...in theory, unfortunately there's still plenty more licks to go round. Nokia need to get an x86 into this or not bother at all.
