I'm not buying it this year even if it was purple. I've made a .. certain deal.. involving my toys expenditures for the rest of the year.

ps: what's with the witchhunt? 10k was posting rumors and he clearly said so. The onus is with us to believe or disbelieve a rumor.

That was literally one instance. You're now implying all his info was copy and pasted from internet?

He seems to believe at least a couple of his sources are legit (one developer, some press). But either way, he contextualized it as requested by a mod.

Forgive me if I don't trust someone who claims to have sources, but is later found to have fabricated at least one of them

I'm not for punishing the guy or really getting that mad at him, but he wasn't quite transparent.

It is what it is. Hopefully people don't go on twitter and start shitting on him. He got carried away.

Well, the ports was the juiciest thing from the recent round of NX rumours for me, and that predates all this, so I'm glad that's still legit. Still pretty nuts.

Posting rumours is one thing, but you gotta be honest about them. If your sources are mostly just journalists, only one developer, and things that other people have said on twitter, that's the kinda thing that needs to be known right off the bad.

At least it's sorted out, but damn. I lost track of how many pages this thread got haha.

Obviously he didn't contextualize it enough or he would have told us that "rumor" was about as credible as whatevery you find on Reddit.

I don't get the whining part you're talking about, either. He was letting us know that 10k was basically using him as a source even though he never agreed to be a source for 10k. 10k made it sound like he was in a conversation with his sources, not that he was grabbing information from tweets on his TL and passing them off as 'his sources.' Zhuge was warning us, not trying to get credit.

Purple is my favorite color so when I saw the Gamecube, I was in heaven.

Then I saw all these people in line getting the black ones and I felt sorry for them.

He contextualized it in black and white. He said rumour, take with pinch your of salt etc.

We can debate his intentions, but like I said I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because I'm not a cynic.

I know literally nothing else about Zhuge beyond today's events, but given he has screencaps, and 10k has admitted on Twitter it was a "scummy" thing for him to do, it seems he's right in this case

My dream color console. When Wii (Revolution at the time) was shown off there was this picture with different color Wiis and Wii remotes. I wanted the red one so badly. I felt deceived when the system only came out in white at launch. lol

I want a nice red console dammit.

I think he should be juniored and slapped on the wrist at least. He was not at all clear how shaky his "sources" were and posted very much like he was some kind of insider. It's not cool and if a genuine mistake then a slap on the wrist is fine. If not he should be banned, but you can't prove intent could be stupidity rather than malice here.

What's that got to do with the idea that the games must be here because the licence holders demand it?

Also, there FIFA on mobile FFS, and PS360, all less capable than Wii U.

There's no FIFA on Wii U for the same reason there no more FIFA on Vita: the market isn't there to justify it. That could easily apply to NX.

Because he may have heard it elsewhere aswell? Hell, I heard it elsewhere aswell. It was a pretty widely discussed proposition.

Gaf moderation is at fault here too. He presented his intel. The mods should have been more strict, at least with the sources like some random tweet. Or force him to be more straight forward in explaining where his info came from.

This was all an elaborate trick to get Emily or other insiders to comment on the NX's power. Like how the fake controller rumor got Gameinformer to post it's controller rumor.

You have to see the difference between him getting his leg pulled by a source that seems credible. Or him just taking some random and public rumor off the web and posting it as coming from a secret source. Right?

They never verified him, and he never claimed to be an insider. Not much to be done. This is why it's not a good idea to make new threads when a gaffer shares information, whether it comes directly from them or not, unless that person creates the thread themselves.

Those systems had an established base. The Frostbite titles were there because EA demanded it not because it was practical- it was a dumpster fire to pull off.

The games werent there because the system was weak and new to the market.

So right now we're at the beginning again. Trev's leaks/rumors are now the only ones who hasn't been debunked and that's the only thing I need now considering he confirmed Zelda U will be on NX as well and that is just great.

Maybe Im not remembering things right, but I thought the E3 where they revealed the DS and some of its games on top of other GBA and GCN games did well.
