Rumor: Oblivion Remastered Coming to Switch 2

We're going to get a bunch of these "rumors" as dev kits for the thing go out, until a year or so later when it just gets all the multi-plat games day and date.

At 540p 20fps-27fps! I kid. Well... not really. Not sure why anybody would make the Switch 2 their main 3rd party AAA platform. You're going to get by far the worse looking/performing version by default.

Just my 2 cents.

In portable mode it should be a fun way to play it. The motion blur is really good in the game so 30fps won't be too bad as long as they fix the poor frame times we're seeing on the standard consoles atm.

It'd be great if they introduce a cross-save system so it can be played on both the standard consoles and the Switch 2 using the same save file.

Combination of:

1. People who want portability
2. People who don't own any other console

Not their main, but isn't the Switch 2 the only officially supported portable console on the market where you can play these AAA games?

I am deeply dissatisfied with the possibility people would make differente choices than I. It's only natural understanding that those people are simply wrong and stupid... if they're people at all.
Glad you're on the same page. $450 for subpar performance is a real bummer when you could get something better.

Because not everyone wants to spend $1000 or more on 2 or 3 gaming systems ... Much less have the money to do so without impacting their bills.

OR

Because they'd rather have a system that has Nintendo games where they can also play some 3rd party games.

In a portable form factor?
Agreed. But I don't expect 3rd parties to support it with many titles 3 or 4 years in. We will be back to Mortal Kombat 1 levels of bad. Good first parties, but even then first party titles even have bad frame rates which is unacceptable from first party titles.

The game was originally released on 2006 hardware. There's some wiggle room.

The next generation will likely have another long cross-gen period though. So it depends how demanding the cross-gen games are on the PS5/XSX.
