[Rumor] Switch 2 codenamed "NG" | Two SKUs September 2024 release

I don't see Nintendo doing a digital only model, not this generation at least. Guess we will see. I do think we will be seeing a 400$-450$ price range though, and fall 24 seems like a safe bet prediction to be honest.

I don't buy the all digital vs 50 more for a cart slot BS. That sort of makes sense when it is a disc drive that plays blurays, but a cart slot is just a cheap connector soldered to a PCB. This gen they differentiated with screens. 100 more to hook up to any screen, 50 more on top of that for a better portable screen. 50 for a cart slot is Apple level cunty.

I personally believe it will be far nastier. I have been anticipating no BC at all or they charge for BC. For example. A digital model for $399 and a physical card slot with BC for $499. Similar to how PS3 was initially.

I also fear somehow / someway BC is tied to Nintendo Online subscription. But we will see.

This is a far different Nintendo than before, I do not think looking at the past generations helps all that much.

Either way, the only thing I know is, I wouldn't expect something less than $399 and as I said, I have always expected $499 is the price.

As for the rumor, I do not believe it. I think the price range is possible. Nintendo is not going to charge small $50 to add physical. It would have to be a $100. Also, the release dates on a Tuesday seem unlikely to me.

So, I think this rumor is false.

Will not pay 450 for that Nintendo console, because it will not be good enough/powerful enough for that asking price.

449 means its powerful with OLED screen?

You must not know Nintendo very well. They actually make a big profit on hardware by selling consoles made with cheap components at a high price.
