I like the new cast so far! Hopefully they'll also translate the songs.
Would love to hear "proper" English version of the classic Sailor Moon songs. Have they announced when the dub will be available?

Well, they did make sure that all the main cast had soimething...

Charlene: Speaking of the recording, the really cool thing about the cast, when Josh was casting all the Sailor Guardians, because it is a very musical series, he wanted to make sure that all the Sailor Guardians, should the need arise--

Josh: --could sing.

Charlene: Yeah, they all had to have pipes on them. All of our key girls that sing a lot, just wow. They are good singers. Sends little chills up my spine.

So they are keeping the original names in this redub too? That's great if that's the case.

And yes. More Liam O'brien is a good thing. <3

Kinda confused about this myself. I happen to like based Bosch.

Still think this needs more Laura Bailey and Liam O'brien.

Liam O'Brien as Nephrite ;)

Also, I think it's really interesting that they've chosen a no-name for Mamoru, rather than someone well established, and the next 'big thing' (Looking at you Bryce!)

I stand corrected! Didn't even see that.

I think Mamoru should've been Brad Swale.

I hope viz dubs the songs. DiC had the decency of having original songs replace the Japanese ones. I hope Laura Bailey voice
shin chan cameo kid
later in the show.

Oblivion

Fetishing muscular manly men in skintight hosery
The thing with Johnny Yong Bosch is that it was kinda neat finding out that a former Power Ranger wad doing dub work, but as a voice actor, he's fairly mediocre.

Ugh. US and Canada only. Was hoping they would ship internationally.

I think it's because of the strong license spread around. Some countries in Europe already have had the sets, so those are licensed by separate countries. France and Italy at least. Not sure who else. So yeah, Rightstuf can't sell it to other regions.

A shame. Well guess I'll just have to keep my eyes open for someone who is willing to ship it to Sweden.

I pre-ordered the Blu-ray/DVD Limited Edition set from Rightstuf [with the pre-order coin]. While I wish a few of the dub cast were different, it doesn't really impact me much since I was going to watch it via Japanese VO/English subtitles anyway. I'm really liking the price for it. Just under $60 for the amount of episodes [and extras] you get is a pretty good deal. Much better than the same price for only 4 episodes of Kill la Kill [I love that series, but I'm waiting for a cheaper box set...hopefully...].

I expect nostalgia to hit me pretty hard upon watching this. I look forward to it.

The original English voice casting was pretty fucking perfect

Bosch as Artemis is a bad sign

As long as Luna is British I'll be content with whatever else.

Bingo.

The original Sailor Moon anime is one of the very, very few cases where I thought the English VA choices spanked the original.

Also, please give us an updated version of the original English opening theme. It's TOO iconic.

They showed two episodes at the Sailor Moon panel. The first being the second episode (the fortune teller one) that was never dubbed the first time around and the first after showing Sailor Moon Crystal (laptop issues, IIRC, and that this ep still had the timecodes on it).

As someone who watched the original dub when it originally aired in 1995 and still likes it, it was a bit odd to listen to but I warmed up to it after a bit.

Stephanie's Usagi is fine, and is a bit more higher pitched than her Orihime in Bleach. TBH, it kinda reminded me of Sailor Moon's original voice actress from the original dub (the one who preceded Terri Hawkes, who everyone remembers).

Michelle Ruff plays Luna a bit softer than she does Rukia. No British accent, but again fine after a bit.

Umino's is okay, no complaints.

Naru was odd to listen to with no Brooklyn accent, but still good.

Shingo was the only one that sounded miscast as he sounds way to old for his age.

Mamoru sounded fine.

There were a few background character voices that I felt could have been better but it wasn't deal breaking.
