That August date at the end is new no? It's been delayed twice now already.

No, it was announced for that date the last time it was delayed. Pretty sure it was only delayed once (last month).

Welcome to Santo Ileso, a vibrant fictional city in the heart of the American SouthWest. In a world rife with crime, where lawless factions fight for power, a group of young friends embark on their own criminal venture, as they rise to the top in their bid to become Self Made.

Experience the biggest and best Saints Row playground ever created; the unique sprawling world of Santo Ileso is the backdrop for a wild, larger than life sandbox of thrilling side hustles, criminal ventures and blockbuster missions, as you shoot, drive, and wingsuit your way to the top.

Key Features:
Witness the Birth of The Saints – Play through an action blockbuster original story full of criminality, extraordinary scenes and signature surprises laced with humor.

Discover the Weird, Wild, West – Dive in to Santo Ileso, the biggest and best Saints Row playground ever, spread across nine unique districts surrounded by the vast, majestic beauty of the Southwest Desert.

Build Your Criminal Empire – Take over the city block by block, wage war against enemy factions and tighten your grip on the streets with ingenious criminal ventures.

Fire Guns. LOTS of Guns – Shoot revolvers from the hip, fire and forget with a rocket launcher, or obliterate up close using melee heavyweights, complete with brutal takedowns. A vast variety of familiar and exotic weapons, all customizable, and all deadly fun.

Take to the Streets and the Skies – Blast through urban and desert environments in any one of the cars, bikes, planes, helicopters, VTOLs, hoverbikes, hoverboards, go-karts or equip your wingsuit to swoop around.

Unprecedented Customization – Create the Boss of your dreams, with the most extensive character customization suite ever seen in the series, then complete the look with incredible options for weapons and vehicles.

Seamless Co-Op – Experience everything on offer with a friend at any time, via fully untethered drop-in / dropout co-op, skipping the need to take either of you out of the outlandish action. Play nice together, or play all new pranks on your team mate. After all, who’s the Boss now.

Art sytle looks horrible and side characters too but everything else looks fun. At least you can customize most stuff.

I think I order the notorious Edition with the season pass. This will be an Open World game that I will dive in for weeks.

Can't believe people are actually waking up in the morning, going to work, working on this game and getting paid for doing it. What a waste.
Just remember, people are doing that to work on stuff like Diablo Immortal, the next WoW expansion and whatever that "Cycle around taking picture of flowers" thing was at the state of play.

The gameplay from what I've seen is completely trash compared to the first Saints Row..

Can't even quick switch your weapons

They moved the shotgun slot in the weapon wheel

The hud is lame

So many things wrong with this Saints Row that it shouldn't be a Saints Row

The fact they are going to try and tie a multiplayer component to this gameplay is just absolute trash when you compare this to the movement, shooting, and multiplayer of the first Saints Row

I think it looks really fun. What's the matter? I swear, some of you guys complain about every fucking thing about video game.

Is it the enthusiast gaming forum or the depressive gaming forum.

Let’s see. Firstly, the Saints are a group of fucking gangsters. They should look and act like such, not like a bunch of priviledged college kids. Secondly, the game looks like it came straight out of the brown bloom of the 7th generation. The Saints Row series has always been highly, absurdly colorful and over the top. Three - It looks like it was written by a bunch of mentally ill folks (slacktivists). There is no charm of the original series.

I hate rap, I hate gangsters, I hate that whole ”culture”, yet Saints Row still was able to grab me and make me have a hell of a lot of fun. This? This looks terrible.

That's Saints Row alright.

Volition has to be one of the least innovative studios when it comes to a franchise running on multiple sequels.

Maybe it's a good thing Guillermo Del Toro's INSANE was canceled.

All harsh words, but I'm still buying this fucking monstrosity of a game to get me through August.

The criminal ventures look pretty fun, and we haven't had a third person open world crime game for awhile, so I can definitely handle the activities being dated, etc.

Please tell me that we don't have to play as the character from the IGN criminal ventures video the entire game. I understand they are going for more of a Watch Dogs vibe for the new Saints, but I'm hoping we at least get to customize our character the way we want.

I think they just didn't know where to take things once super powers were introduced, which makes sense because it's hard to one-up that concept. The only thing I can think of is the Saints doing high octane missions around the world, like a 007 or Mission Impossible movie, or better yet taking things to space. Both of those wouldn't be the the open world city game fans want it to be though.

Well, you probably can create a regular character and you get to destroy all these privileged college kids. So maybe the game is self aware and that's what it is? Ahah idk, for me these game are about pillaging and moving around doing exaggerated stunts, flying, shooting and explosions.

I am glad to see Insurance Fraud is back. Possibly one of my favorite Saints Row minigame activities. It's like someone said "What if we took Burnout's crash mode and did the same thing... with a human!". Alas, I'm still less than impressed with what I've seen so far. I don't think it'll flop as bad as Agents of Mayhem but I don't think it's going to do as well as Saints Row 2 or 3. Just seems too... dated and iterative and cartoony while also stripping away the "fuck you, we don't care who we offend" charm of the original franchise.

I'll probably buy it on sale which, honestly, I suspect the game will be half off by Thanksgiving holiday/Black Friday.

It's all of the above. It's a gaming forum. It's even for crybabies like you!
