This phone owns!!! its an easy bet to say that 5 megapixels phone gonna be in the US by Christmas 2006. cant wait!!!!!!!!!!

They are very cool. The problem that they have, however, is sharpness and inability to handle low light well. They also don't do color reproduction very well. They are getting there and I feel that cameras and video capture on phones is a no-brainer and makes more sense than carrying a separate camera around for most consumers. The technology is getting there - especially some of the new lense technology based of liquid based lenses.

bah. 5 megapixel cameras are nothing but cock-sizing between the (psuedo) affluent. all the pixels in the world wont get rid of excess noise, horrible focus, color fringing and lack of optical zoom.

Seems to blow my S700 away in terms of pic size, but by the time they've both been reduced to 800 x 600 for posting on the web the quality seems to even up.

Don't get too caught up in megapixels. A 2 megapixel Canon A60 will blow away the picutre quality of this "5 megapixel" camera phone.
