I just watched the episode. What the hell was that? The animation quality went from decent to poop. Episode 08 seems to be back on track. What happened?

Well everything from the backgrounds to characters in episode 7 had little to no detail. It looked like a little kid drew the episode.

Oh, and DON'T FOR THE LOVE OF GOD download Lunar's S7 eps. I tried, so very hard, to understand the subs of their ep 9 and couldn't. *Re-downloading from Keep&ANBU*

I'd give the nod to Samurai 7 in terms of plot development.

Mostly because Champloo has none

I think that that episode was outsourced to a different anime house. Like Naruto does. In fact I saw Naruto episode that had a similar type of style that would suggest it was the same house.

Samurai 7 is dreadful. I couldnt even finish the first episode. Hats off to GONZO on the Breaking the Habit video though.. it's pretty killer and winning the Viewer's Choice at the VMA was well-deserved.

I noticed the dip in quality of episode 7 too, no idea what happened, the animation was fantastic for the first 6...8 was ok, i assume 9 and 10 are too. Maybe they had interns in to draw that or something.

I just watched ep. 9-10 and Damn did they blow me away.Ep. 9 was just crazy action and ep 10 was funny as hell. This is easily one of the best animes of this year.

I think they did that on purpose because of the 'drunken' village. Also Episode 1 sux, you must see atleast the first 4 episode's to know if you like it.
