I am quite happy with this season. Wonder who the Red Devil at the end is? Hester I doubt it.

Man, what a bummer ending. What a bait and switch. What an utter catastrophe.
It's not satisfying. It's not funny. It's not entertaining. It's not consistent.
Chanel is not a nice person but the show's whole premise is that we're here to enjoy her naughtiness. She already got her come-uppance with the riot in the previous episode, and we got the super satisfying "suck it" retort.
Then she gets locked away for no reason? Seriously, who thought that was a good idea? This isn't some moral balancing thing either, or else Munsch and Hester would also be suffering for their evils, and arguably suffering much more than Chanel. This is just a Shyamalan-esque twist that's not even worthy of his soiled name.
Grace and Zayday must have been a joke on the audience. I find it very hard to believe you can accidentally write characters so boring without ever having a payoff. There's no character development. No charisma. No twist. Just two boring goodie-two-shoeses who end up naive to the complexities of the world in the end.
I'm going to have to pretend that last episode didn't happen. Hester pointing to #5 is a much better ending to the story.

I think Murphy forgot he was writing a slasher series midway through the series.

Thought it was obvious it was Hester all along, it reminded me of Nip/Tuck where you know who the killer is but you want to deny it and come up with crazy theories because the truth is somewhat disappointing. Also I am sure Hester killed Gigi for being a part of her brothers death, she even said the same line GiGi told her at thanksgiving dinner. All in all great show. Would watch season 2.

I liked this show way more than I anticipated. I was curious about it, but I kind of expected to lose interest at some point. At first I thought it might've been a happy accident, but the episodes stayed good pretty much all season long. It's a genuinely funny and unique show.
It's also bafflingly unclassifiable and I have a hell of a time describing it to people. Like, I don't think I could adequately describe this show to someone else who has seen the show.

Really enjoyed the show, only gripe is that it should have ended when Channel was selected the president of the mental asylum, they didn't need to do the final zinger really.
Overall, I think I may be one of the minorities here in saying I enjoyed Number 5's character the most.

Intro sequence for one episode
Haha. Cute.
I started the series with high hopes for campy horror and zany humor, which were exceeded through "Mommy Dearest" and "Ghost Stories". Even "Thanksgiving" and "Black Friday" had their moments. The last two episodes, however, were total let downs. Boone and Gigi were explicitly revealed as RD-aligned early in the series, and once it was clear that there were [at least] three RDs, Hester and Pete were clearly the prime suspects. I'll admit I didn't realize that both of them were RD-aligned until Pete laid it all out (even in Black Friday, I wanted to believe that Pete was simply talking to a dead line or having a conversation regarding some outcome from a not-shown duel with Chad).
For the two-part finale, however, what little consistency and development the characters had was thrown out as everyone basically went along with Hester's inane "plan". Grace, despite starting off as the protagonist/PoV character, was an absolute waste, as were her sidekicks, dad and Zayday. Chad and Denise had one fan-service scene together, but were otherwise missing apart from a few cameos in the last three episodes. Most importantly, there was nothing in the way of tension, surprise, or laughs in the tail-end of the series.
The parts of the series I loved most were the slumber party in "Seven Minutes in Hell" (so pretty much the whole episode), Denise's story segment in "Ghost Stories", Munsch's intro for "Mommy Dearest", Chanel #5 with Roger/Dodger in "Pumpkin Patch", and a whole lot from the early episodes -- especially segments with the Dickie Dollar Scholars (e.g., Boone & Chad, Backstreet's Back) and Denise (e.g., Shondell, going after Zayday). I hope that -- if there is indeed a second series/season -- the showrunners focus more on those kinds of elements (tension, surprise, and laughs) and less on wrapping everything up with a bow.

Finally finished. I didn't expect Hester or Pete as a fourth for that matter...or even Gigi lol. I was always suspecting Grace, the Spray Tan victim, or the off-screen Chanel #4. The show addressed those perfectly.
Like with all Ryan Murphy shows, the show started strong, has a very weak filler middle, but finishes strong. Main criticism is that most of the show has been worthless dialogue and long-winded, bitchy monologues like an even more annoying version of Glee's Santana. And just like Glee, everyone keeps explaining why things are so inconsistent while continuing to be all over the place when they back themselves into a corner and realize it's too late (like Boone being gay but not really).
The one thing that has never wavered was Niecy Nash's Denise Hemphill. There were just so many times where I had to pause just to catch my breath from laughing! Her character arc was just so perfect especially with the running gags of going from Campus Security, to Officer, to Captain, to FBI at Quantico while still blaming Zayday Williams. The part with Chad at the end...kill me now!

One thing I don't get is who killed Gigi? Pete was there in the hotel with Boone and he confessed to only killing Boone and Roger/Dodger. Hester only confessed to killing Pete. She did repeat what Gigi said at the Thanksgiving dinner but she wasn't there. Unless she was hiding somewhere in the hotel room.

The Red Devil that killed Gigi probably wasn't Pete. He didn't explicitly confess to killing Gigi, which would be a strange omission given how he told Grace everything else. Also Hester's remark is quite specific, she says "I didn't kill any of these (the kids on the memorial) kids, except Pete," she doesn't mention anything about not killing Gigi.
If you want a really in-depth explanation about why Hester was probably the one who killed Gigi, check out the post below. Also recall that Hester was "dead" from the Chanel push down the stairs, so no one had any idea where she was and Pete likely thought she was dead too.

Now it is possible that there was shenanigans going on with Pete killing Gigi and handing off the head to Hester, it strikes me as unlikely given Pete's conversation with Grace. But the way I read it, no one is lying.
Hester- killed Pete and Gigi, a few others indirectly.
Pete- killed Roger or Dodger, the cop at the mall, and Boone
Boone- killed everyone else.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Chad Radwell.
I really liked this season. The ending with the Chanels in the hospital and them embracing it was pretty great. I also thought Chanel #3's reactions to just about everything in the finale was hilarious. I definitely could have used more Chad Radwell in these last couple episodes, but I guess most things could do with having more Chad Radwell.
Technically Grace, Zayday, Hester, and Chad would be the "Surviving Four" characters that transitions to Scream Queens: Summer Camp since everyone else might've died off-screen with the dreaded Sopranos' cut to black, stayed in a mental institution, an adult no longer needed full-time like the Dean or Grace's dad, or Denise Hemphill, who's really going places.
But I have a feeling Chanel #3 and Denise would be back full-time making lasting impressions behind-the-scenes.

That "Toy Soldier" scene is one of the greatest things I've ever witnessed in my life. This shows use of songs is always wonderful.
Too much exposition. If you need your characters to spend the better part of the episodes to explain how everything worked throughout the entire season, then you've done a pretty poor job telling the story. For a Ryan Murphy production Scream Queens was surprisingly coherent, but he is still a terrible writer (or needs a better writing staff).
Gigi - killed at least the Red Devil mascot (in the flashback)
What's the deal with the other dude in the Red Devil costume in the convenience store? If it's so hard to get RD costumes, where do he and Pete get theirs (and why do Grace and Zayday not care)? If it's so easy, why does Gigi have to kill someone to get it (and why buy a Scalia mask later)?
Of course, anything can be explained away by saying the characters are dumb and/or crazy. :/
Just watched the 2 hour finale finally last night and overall I liked it...I thought the last few episodes where not as good as the start of the season but man Emma Roberts was so good in this,she deserves somekind of award or something for her performance throughout...like near the end,when she points to the jury and calls them Hippos,I burst out laughing,so juvenile or whatever but her delivery,just perfect.
