Screenrant: We gave Wukong a 6/10 for lacking inclusivity but here are 10 reasons it deserves GOTY At TGA 2024

It started here

Now they are here:

Further, Black Myth: Wukong excludes the frustrating aspects of popular soulslikes while incorporating more universally enjoyable elements, striking a delicate balance between fans of the soulslike genre and those that prefer a more straightforward action RPG. The level, combat, and boss design are standouts among the nominees, as well as the advancement system and art/cinematography. For all of these reasons and more, Black Myth: Wukong has a real shot at winning Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024.

For fuck sake, is there even a grain of integrity in the gaming "journalism"? What a clown.

I don't see any problem if the review and that article are by different person. Reviews are opinion of that person only.

It has a great amount of diversity for what it is, lots of different kind of demons and beasts, both male and female. Great gameplay and character design. I like Rebirth, Space Marine 2, and Stellar Blade more but Wukong definitely deserves a shot at GOTY and won't even mind if it did win.

From the review....

When game journalism eventually be substituted for AI no one will ever care or even know about their names alright, theres no better safety than nobody giving a fuck about them anymore.

Gaming journalism hasn't been relevant to me since I stopped reading VG&CE a long time ago, not surprised current writers activists are twisting themselves into pretzels trying to gain favor.

For all its faults, I do rely on Steam reviews now. It's not perfect but there are some honest opinions there if you're looking for that.

The game has monkey, pig, bear, wolf, dragons, spiders, demons, deities,... And still not enough diversity? What's the logic here.

To answer your question. No. They do it for clicks and generating revenue. They thought that they would get clicks based on taking points from the game as it 'lacked diversity' (which is fucking retarded) and now they want to tell you why it's so good. They are delusional muppets.

They are literally begging for clicks.
I mean, if all they need is traffic, they might as well just follow Alyssa, opening up an Only Fans, and sell ass cheek selfies.

The whole Chapter 4 is about a matriarchal family and some beefy cut-scenes of it were showed months before game release.

That reviewer didn't take time to play enough of the game or do some simple research.

Gaming journalsim is a joke.

You all seriously don't dislike the current mainstream gaming press enough. They have zero integrity, openly despise the consumer base, clique obsessed to point of a fraternal order, and they will push any corporate message to retain their access.

Post a transcript, screen shot, or archive link to mock them, but fucking don't ever post their links. Cut the oxygen off on their sunsetting dinosaur of an industry.

It’s funny actually you see the same thing happening with Stellar Blade. A lot of these journalists were hating on it early on, but now suddenly they love it!

Think Paul Tassi even wrote about how it was one of his favorite games this year, even though early on he wrote about how it receiving praise from players was excessive
