SEGA AGES 10 title release?

From the Conspiracy 10Q released a couple weeks ago:

"We also have an outstanding commitment to pay Constant Entertainment LLP - SEGA Limited $252,000 in advance royalties for SEGA title distribution. However, we are currently renegotiating the commitment to Constant Entertainment to reflect the fact that the titles are now being packaged as a 10-in-1 disc."

Seems like a bunch of AGES will be on a single disc for the US. I don't think PS is included in this, but who knows?

They announced the 10-on-a-disc thing in May, yeah:

Look for the press release with the Play Magazine quote (typo included) and the IGN Boards quote. Still not sure what the package is supposed to contain, though.

Official announcement from Sega sorting all this is due in like two weeks, I think.

Well there ya go. I missed the transition from 4 to 10 pack. I guess that's my noob penalty here.

Hell, I missed it too. I was halfway through writing up the story until I went to their press release page to look for the original announcement ^_^

Memo to Conspiracy: do not issue any major announcements in the two weeks following E3.

Edit: The original licensing deal was for "14 updated Sega titles, including the arcade favorites Space Harrier and Golden Axe." So who knows what they've got.

yeah, i want virtua racing and fantasy zone. alien syndrome looks kind of neat too.

Syndrome I wouldn't buy as a stand-alone package, but it'd be great in a collection, yeah. That goes for most of these games, actually.

The games I really want are Virtua Racing, Decathlete Collection, Last Bronx, Alien Syndrome and VF2. Hopefully most of them find their way in that collection, though I don't think Last Bronx has even been revealed yet.

They should just release VR and call it a day. That seems to be the only that most people here really care about (and the one Sega spent actual time on as well).

I was hoping someone who might actually give a crap about the translation quality would pick up the PS games. The original games could REALLY use a fresh, accurate, CONSISTENT translation.

Also, if Conspiracy publishes it, you know it's going to get zero marketing support and will disappear from shops in a few weeks, like everything else they make. Sometimes I don't understand Sega's business logic...

There's nothing to understand. It's Sega. These are the same folks who told all the magazine months ago that they were re-releasing Rez and did nothing in the end except get the hopes of what few fans they have left. They are the masters of disappointment.

The feeling I get is Sega of America has no interests in the Sega Ages, and Sega of Japan sold the rights to who ever was interested. I doubt Sega of Japan expects to get any money off this deal.

Please, please consipiracy, put Virtua Fighter 2 in that package! This is such an awesome deal.

Virtua Fighter 2 / Last Bronx are not in it, if memory serves.

Virtua Racing and Alien Storm were, however.

Why does no one else remember seeing this list?

Maybe it was all a dream...
