I am tempted by Alpha Protocol, even if I go for it at a price lower than the steam keys. I'm interested in trying it because of the hugely divisive opinions that pop up about it.
Edit: Those are some nice charities though, will no doubt donate at some point even if it's a tiny tiny amount.
It's not locked IIRC, I know you can get 60fps at least. It's actually a great port in terms of options and optimization. It's been a while but I remember not liking the mouse aiming though. The default keybindings can be weird as well.
I think unlocked. I played it at 60 because I have all my games set to triple-buffered vsync by default, so I actually have no idea which games have unlocked framerates nowadays. It has some performance issues on AMD cards though.
Ah damn, I didn't realize before buying that the bundle contains Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed instead of Typing of the Dead when you buy it in Germany. What a shame, I really wanted to play TotD.

So I'm a dumb dumb when it comes to games on a computer... how or where do I find out if any of these games can be played on my 1.3Ghz and 4G of ram 2013 Macbook Air?
I own none of those, but already have a pretty big backlog... still, I'll consider it given the praise some of those games have gotten. I would have much rather had sega all-star racing transformed, though.
Good bundle even though I own most of the games already. Missing Typing of the Dead sucks but I already own it so it isn't a problem. Unfortunately, I also already own Sonic Racing.
Giftable keys would have been great.
I'm tempted to use a German VPN and get Sonic Racing (I already own TotD:O). However, I already own Alpha Protocol, Company of Heroes, Rome: Total War, Hell Yeah: Wrath of the Dead Rabbit, The Typing Of The Dead: Overkill, Renegarde Ops, and Medieval II: Total War.
So the question is, is Binary Domain and Sonic Racing worth £3.60 (also considering I've already played SaAR:T on 360).
I strongly recommend Binary Domain for those that never played it. It runs great on PC, I finished this week, here's the impressions I posted on the Steam thread for those interested:
I believe it's quite understandable why might exist such discrepancy among the opinions of this game. Binary Domain is an interesting game not olnly from the different type of enemies you are used to shoot but also for the combination of action, humour and storytelling. The Story kept me interested until the very end.If you were one of those players that would get bored for the constant shooting then in my case, I just found new ways to make it more fun. By shooting the robots in head they will turn against each other. If you add that with shooting others in the feet, forcing them to crawl then you have an interesting combination of events to watch. The city is filled with amazing little details, something you might miss if you are just rushing from point A to point B. But you shouldn't. The bright lights in the city at night are something your eyes will be pleased to see and the visuals are quite good too.
The characters are very distinctive from each other putting Big Bo among the favourites. There's rivalry, sarcasm, humour and even... romance. There are a few plot twists here and there to make the story more compelling and interesting which pleased me until the very end. During the game you are able to talk to your team mates using your own voice (which I didn't because I do not have a Microphone on my PC yet) or simply by using the controller. By doing so, you will offer tactical advice to them but also if they request healing or suggest a new tactic you are free to agree or disagree with them.
It might not be a title that many people have the chance to play it, and those that had it share different opinions about the game, however I found to be a nice shooting adventure from start to finish. There's nothing over the top or extremely remarkable but not all games require to be such experience. Some, like Binary Domain just want to tell a story while mixing a bit of storytelling and bullets, lot's of them, in fact.
There might be more cut scenes that one person who is used to play FPS and TPS would find but to me this was never a problem, in fact, I believe it was balanced between having a lot of things to point and shoot during tense moments, and then, a little bit of story, controversy or plot twist via cut scenes. I like to have both of these in my games but again, many may find it tiresome if all you want is too shoot some robots in their shiny metal ***.
In the end I think it's important to reflect if we are not going too far with our discoveries in advanced robotic technology. I know that it is the year of 2080 and the world most progress but, at what cost..? Paraphrasing Albert Einstein "I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction." In Binary Domain, that day may have happened already...*

Anyone else getting API ERROR when trying to redeem the games?? I havent changed my password in Steam and I have been redeeming Humble Bundles since forever
Edit: As someone who's out of the loop in many ways: I'm assuming most of the things that look like shooters are shooters (if so I'll just ignore them as I planned to).
They have at least two things in common: they both have terrible names, and they're both utterly fantastic games. Without a doubt, those are my two top two favourite games of the bundle.
The names do make sense once you understand each game's lore.
It's excellent. It's something like 5 hours long. Not sure if this includes the DLC, I got the DLC for free for pre-ordering. The DLC is some extra story missions and characters, it's fun and worth playing.

I already have Binary Domain on PC and as a PS+ game, and Renegade Ops as a PS+ game too. I have no interest in the strategy games but bought the bundle for TotD and Alpha Protocol, basically.
