SEGA Humble Bundle (Total War, Alpha Protocol, Typing of the Dead, and more)

Steam needs to start allowing "extras" to convert to giftable copies on a regular basis, because otherwise I just... lose half the games in the bundle I paid for. We're not buying compilation CDs anymore, these are digital products that have no good reason to be so strictly bundled like that.

Complain to Sega, not Valve. It's their decision.

Great looking bundle. I'm quietly hopeful Activision will come to the party and offer some of their back catalogue for a reasonable price.

Who am I kidding? they'd be the first company to offer a $60 minimum.

Very nice bundle, glad I passed on Binary Domain and Alpha Protocol when they were on sale a few weeks ago. I picked up the 6$ tier, will get the 3rd tier over the weekend!. I wanted to do a giveaway anyways.

Strange - I bought this from a German IP, without being logged in, and it still gave me House of the Dead. It must have taken it from my PayPal?

Any German users want to trade the Sonic BTA with the HotD?

Me. Can I send you the code tomorrow?

Noooooooooooooooo!

Bought the Sega bundle via VPN because of Typing of the Dead, which is not available in Germany. But once I redeemed I just got Sonic Transformed! I wanted it so bad! :-(

Notice to German Users: If you're in Germany, you don't get Typing of the Dead: Overkill, but get Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed instead.

damn, I'll take Sonic&ASRT over TotD any time, any german interested in making a trade?

I'd be interested in trading with a German user as well. I have no interest in Typing of the Dead but would love Sonic Racing.

How would it work though? Each tier of keys are bundled together, and you click a button to redeem them. Is there a way to extract the actual key letters/numbers?

FYI, Binary Domain was unplayable without a controller when I played it about a year ago.

I didn't have that issue when I played it. With that said I think it forces physix so if you're running it on an AMD card certain boss fights will result in a whole log of dropped frames.

Thoughts on the SEGA Genesis Classics?

Not the best games of the Sega Genesis, but they are pretty decent. If that is all that is making you consider buying, just get one of the five Sega Genesis Classics Series off of Steam or Amazon since it's only $7.50 per series and you can choose one of five sets of games, which do include better Sega Genesis titles, though not Sonic or Toejam & Earl.

Hmmm. I bought the Bundle a little bit ago, but no e-mail and nothing in my account. Charge already went through. This has never happened before. I contacted them through their e-mail form. Anyone know how long they usually take to respond and fix issues?

EDIT: I e-mailed their contact addy. They replied very quickly through multiple e-mails. AMAZING customer service.

Tried to trade with Mannerbot, gave him my link and didn't get his in return. Thanks! Unbelievable! I thought I'm safe here to trade with gaffers. Well, think again! I hope everybody reads this and won't trade with him in the future.

lol, same problem here.

This is absolutely not what happened.

I am only asking him to e-mail Humble support to see if they can help, as I made it very clear that I only wanted Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed and owned the other games in the bundle already. I will absolutely replace the key if Humble denies the request, but dk_ refuses to even try and decides to air this out here instead? Well, alright I will simply buy a new key for him but I don't understand why he couldn't just try to contact support first before rushing off to smear my name.

And yeah, for anyone else curious, it does not appear that you can trade bundles between German/outside of Germany for Typing of the Dead/Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed.

edit: actually it appears that it worked out for dk, though he didn't let me know. But Typing of the Dead showed up in his games list. It looks like the key didn't actually redeem at all for me (and that I actually didn't own Medieval II: Total War beforehand)? Weird stuff...

I wanted Binary Domain but I dont even have 3$ on the card.

I dont get why are all the keys bundled together by tiers, instead of being singular.

Someone jumping to conclusions why am I not surprised. Good you guys sorted it out.

Sega should do a bundle with the soon to be ports. I'll gladly pay twenty bucks for Vanquish and Bayonetta.

It's not locked IIRC, I know you can get 60fps at least. It's actually a great port in terms of options and optimization. It's been a while but I remember not liking the mouse aiming though. The default keybindings can be weird as well.
The mouse controls in Binary Domain have reverse acceleration. Play with gamepad.

I think that's down to the pubs rather than Steam. And, for that matter, I think the forced bundling aspect is one of the (minor) things that makes Humble Bundle appealing for publishers

How do those Sega classics work as far as their listing in the library? I bought this bundle and it has one icon, if I get toejam or sonic are they added to it?

I've never played a Total War game. In for the $15 tier though because this is an incredible bundle.

The only game I own already is TotD. Any chance of bonus titles?

How many of these (if any) would be playable on a laptop?

I suppose I should grab this bundle anyway for future use, and to give to charity.

Every one of those games is probably playable on at least Intel HD 4000 maybe even 3000 with lower resolution than 720p

Region locked (at least) in Taiwan and Japan.

Fuck you Sega
Yeah, when I tried to go to the page via my Japanese IP address it wouldn't let me access it. I used a VPN to access the page and purchase it with my US credit card (as I'm from the USA.) I still can't access the weekly page, but the compleeted purchase was located in my humble bundle library. It was automatically added to my, already linked, Steam account.

Ok, it turns out that I just had some weird issue redeeming the key to my Steam account. After sorting it out with Humble support, I was able to redeem a German key (with Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed instead of Typing of the Dead: Overkill).
