Quick question, does anyone know if the Saturn original version of Virtua Fighter had a long box release? Or was it just the normal sleeve/jewel?

Just got Cotton Boomerang for $56.
Yummy. Would say where but the storefront has some other things I want.
Just the one, sadly. :/ Kind of a gamble b/c there were no pictures, just a description. We'll see how it turns out.
You win this round, GK!Just got Cotton Boomerang for $56.

BUT I did snipe Metal Black for $31 shipped
Finally found a NTSC copy of Enemy Zero. Cost me $50 though, but that's a bit cheaper then the other prices I saw. Should be here in a day or so.
that much? i should probably put mine up.
Decent. I'd recommend making a backup of the disc using ImgBurn or DiscJuggler or something, though, then using a disc drive emulator like DAEMON Tools to host the disc image, and have SSF read from there instead. I dunno, I'm just kinda paranoid about playing directly off of the discs themselves.I really wanted to play Panzer Dragoon Saga again (I still have my original copy.).
How is Saturn emulation of this game? Would I be able to play it directly from the disc?
I stumbled upon a Model 2 Saturn controller in a thrift store today. Cost me a whopping $2.02.
That's the first time I've seen Saturn-related ANYTHING in there since I started regularly checking these places years ago. Kinda wish it was a six-button Genesis pad, though...
I saw this down the street for $39.99. I was tempted to buy it, but it was too high and price and I was not very knowledgeable about the game. This just came in. Looking forward to playing it eventually.

Bear in mind, Burning Rangers kinda requires you to understand what your navigator is telling you in order to find your way through any given stage. If you understand Japanese, you should be okay with an import, but otherwise, your only recourse is a localized copy, and those are kind of expensive. (Glad I nabbed mine when I did, when it was only $50...)

Weirdly, I have the PAL version of Burning Rangers, given to me by an European friend. I barely ever played it though...
A poster in the CRT thread is asking how to identify the difference between Euro SCART and JP 21 RGB so they don't fry their scaler. Anyone know?

It worked fine with the 4in1 action replay cart, IIRC. Some PAL games did look deformed on my TV (that was an old CRT back in the day) but I recall Burning Rangers looking fine. I wouldn't know on my HDTV though, never tried it since...To my knowledge the PAL version of Burning Rangers is cheaper than the US release, however you will need a PAL Saturn and TV to play it, since the game has issues with the 60/50 Hz thing.
Beyond Oasis is one of the rarer games of the Sega library, but it's fucking phenomenal. I loveeeeedddd it as a kid. Great lore, great music, beautiful artwork.
I have always wanted to play Legend of Oasis, the prequel for Saturn. I'm gunna try my best to find a way to emulate it...I just need it.

Does he have the cables in hand? If so then simple enough just to open them and see the pinout since they are very different. GamesSX has the actual pinouts.
It's really, really short. It has a few hard spots (typically bosses), but you can totally knock this out in one night.I'm going to finally tackle Astal to help knock down my backlog.
Agreed, Astal had kick-ass music. Like a mix of Pink Floyd and Kitaro at times.Just be prepared to have the music stuck in your head for awhile.
The Crystal Palace for example. Dat guitar.
Whoever composed for Astal seriously needs to be given more work.
I have no idea, having not tried it, but, um, holy shit, SSF updated for the first time in, like, 1.5 years. Is anyone else experiencing flickering black lines while using the latest version of SSF? I tried googling but haven't found any way to fix it.
had to roll back to the previous beta to fix this.I have no idea, having not tried it, but, um, holy shit, SSF updated for the first time in, like, 1.5 years.
Just make bin\cue images of the discs and mount them. It runs pretty well I think.I really wanted to play Panzer Dragoon Saga again (I still have my original copy.).
