It's pulling a Saturn because September is 6 weeks away. We would know by now via retailer/supply chain leaks, unless Nintendo did what Sega did with the Saturn and surprise launched at one retailer.

What he said was "So I guess Sega pretty much confirmed Wii U launching in November?" -- and that's not what this is. Really I should have went for a lock instead of a title change, since there's not actually any news here.

I guess it doesnt apply to me since I was a witness when Sega pulled a Saturn. There so much more to pulling a Saturn to me than just that.
I dunno, it just gives us a possible clue that Wii U might be out/may be launching in November, and yes it's not any concrete evidence but aren't message boards meant to breed speculation and worthwhile discussion? Oh well, at least you didn't lock the thread.

I don't know why people keep saying November like it's certain. These snippets from Sega, Ubisoft or whoever aren't definitive. And Jason from 5th cell said, right here, that he doesn't even know, and probably only Nintendo knows.
And looking at the last few historical console launches isn't relevant because that information is trumped by basic business sense. Why would Nintendo launch the Wii U after BLOPS 2 comes out on November 13th? That is just plain dumb. The probably should get it out before AC3 on October 30th.

Yeah, the November launch thing is just a guess for most people because of Black Friday. The thing is the console will still be on sale for Black Friday and might actually benefit from a month of people owning the thing. If I had to bet (hello Stump) I would say October for sure in at least one territory if not both US/Euro. I could see Japan coming in like December to have more units ready for a western launch
