I never got that far into Ikaruga but holy shit, that looks hard.

To be honest that isn't so much the bullet hell part of the game, more the rhythm action aspect. You switch polarities to absorb either light or dark bullets so you aren't dodging all those bullets, you're switching between light or dark polarity at the correct moment.

But yeah, game is nails, haha!

Edit: just realised you just said that you've played it so I guess you knew that!

Haha yep! I know far too well.

For me the game feels sometimes like a puzzle game, specially if you try to make chains to get some decent score and those sweet, sweet extra lives.

yeh i mean, sometimes i stream JC4 just so i can attach some nitrous boosts to my inflatable duck boat, attach some balloons to it so it floats in the air - and then tether it to some sports car so im going down the highway 200mph firing electrcitiy bolts in every direction from my electricity gun as a cow on an inflatable fast-as-fuck duck. the authority are like b r u h

i say JC3 is better because despite console lagging like hell, the world is chock full of explosive red cylinders and things to blow up. JC4 really toned that down for some reason - which is odd because its the #1 fun thing to do in the game.
