Yeah, I could always understand it for the open air channels and everything but I see no reason why Comedy Central can't be uncensored. I've noticed Comedy Central playing movies and what not late Saturday nights uncensored. Fight the good fight CC!!!

Cable channels are not regulated. They voluntarily censor themselves because they need advertiser money.

Does cable actually live by FCC content rules? I dont think so. Im under the impression that they can do whatever they like... but some stations like Comedy Central or E! actually want people to advertise and such.. so they have to tone it down.

It will never happen for the same reason that any congressional attempt to regulate game content will get smacked down. You can force people to tell you what kind of content a given piece of media contains, but you cannot violate the freedom of speech and tell them what kind of content to show. These occasional oddballs are no cause for concern.
